Abstract:
An electric power generation system includes a wind turbine, a conductor rotating as the wind turbine rotates, a heat transfer medium vessel, a magnetic field generator, a heat accumulator, and an electric power generation unit. The magnetic field generator is operated to generate a magnetic field and therein the conductor is rotated and thus heated through induction, and the conductor's heat is transmitted to the water in the heat transfer medium vessel to generate steam which is in turn supplied to a steam turbine and thus drives an electric power generator to generate electric power.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a multilayer wiring board in which warpage during reflow soldering can be reduced even if there is no sufficient space for disposing a dummy pattern or if a dummy pattern cannot be disposed. A difference between the ratios of copper remaining in wiring layers causes a difference between the amounts of thermal expansion of the wiring layers. The fiber bundle content of at least one resin base material layer is made different from that of the other resin base material layers, to cause a difference between the amounts of thermal expansion of the resin base material layers. This difference between the amounts of thermal expansion of the resin base material layers is used to cancel the difference between the amounts of thermal expansion of the wiring layers. Thus, warpage of the board during reflow soldering is reduced.

An image processing system includes a decoder configured to decode an encoded image and an encoder configured to encode the image decoded by the decoder. The decoder includes a decoder adapted to decode the encoded image, and a detector adapted to detect, on the basis of the image, a fade period included in the image and supply a fade information signal indicating a detection result to the encoder. The encoder includes an acquisition unit adapted to acquire the fade information signal, and a changing unit adapted to change a process performed in the encoding of the image in accordance with the fade information signal.
Abstract:
An axial motor includes an armature side stator (13), a pair of rotors, and a pair of stators, which are arranged with gaps left therebetween in the axial direction of a drive shaft (34). The armature side stator (13) includes armature coils (24). The pair of rotors are a first rotor (12) and a second rotor (14) that are arranged on both sides of the stator (13) and include inducers (20, 21, 27, 28). The pair of stators are a first field side stator (11) and a second field side stator (16) that are arranged respectively on oppositely spacing sides of the first rotor and the second rotor. The first and second rotors (12, 14) are mounted to the drive shaft (34). The first and second field side stators (11, 15) include respectively first and second field coils (18, 31) arranged in a tone form about the axis of the drive shaft (34). The first and second field coils (18, 31) are supplied with currents in opposed directions such that magnetic fluxes are generated in the first and second field coils (18, 31) in opposed directions.

Abstract:
A method for analyzing a component mounting board comprising a step (A) for forming a multilayer substrate shell model of a multilayer wiring board, a step (B) for forming a multilayer component shell model divided by element division lines based on the bonding position of a component to the surface of the multilayer wiring board, step (C) for redividing the mounting position of the component in the multilayer substrate shell model, and step (D) for forming an analysis model by bonding the neutral plane of the substrate and the neutral plane of the component through one of a beam element and a solid element, i.e. a bonding element equivalent to mounting conditions of the component, wherein precision of analysis is enhanced while reducing computation cost by performing calculation while imparting boundary conditions to the analysis model.

Abstract:
The present invention provides a blade-type tensioner system for a chain that can easily improve spring properties. A blade-type tensioner includes a blade shoe and a blade spring positioned on the back side of chain sliding surface of the blade shoe so as to impart tension to a chain through the blade shoe. The blade shoe is pivotably supported around a shoulder bolt inserted into a proximal end portion of the blade shoe, and a distal end portion of the blade shoe is slidably supported on a supporting face provided in the engine. The distal end portion of the blade shoe contacts a flat, first supporting face at a point. When tension in the chain is increased, the distal end portion contacts a concave, second supporting face at a point which is continuous with the first supporting face.
Abstract:
The reverse direction reproduction of encoded data comprised of picture data compressed in accordance with the MPEG system is to be realized at a higher speed. To this end, plural frame memories are used for reverse direction reproduction. The respective pictures are sequentially decoded and the decoded pictures are sequentially held in the frame memories. If there is no vacant memory, the frame memories are sequentially overwritten beginning from the frame memory which stores the picture decoded first. If the decoding progresses up to the picture to be reproduced, and the decoding of the picture to be reproduced comes to a close, the decoding is transiently halted and the picture to be reproduced is read out from the frame memory and displayed. If the picture to be reproduced is displayed, the frame memory which has held the displayed picture is evacuated. The decoding is re-initiated for decoding the picture consecutive to the picture the data of which are as yet held in the frame memory.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a controller operation in such way that in the forward slow reproduction or the forward stepped reproduction mode, when reproducing a video signal from a bit stream of coded video signal in which each frame consists of a first field and a second field, if a currently reproduced picture is the bottom field, a reproduction position pointer is shifted to the next frame to be reproduced.
