A color photographic silver halide light-sensitive material is described comprising a compound represented by formula (I) ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 and R.sup.3 can each represent an unsubstituted or substituted alkyl group or an unsubstituted or substituted aryl group, R.sup.2 can represent an unsubstituted or substituted alkyl group, R.sup.4 and R.sup.5 can each represent a hydrogen atom, an unsubstituted or substituted alkyl group, an unsubstituted or substituted aryloxy group, an unsubstituted or substituted alkylthio group, an unsubstituted or substituted arylthio group, a halogen atom, or an acylamino group, and R.sup.1 and R.sup.2, R.sup.1 and R.sup.4, or R.sup.2 and R.sup.5 together can represent atoms forming a condensed ring structure together with the benzene ring of formula (I), provided that the total of carbon atom numbers in R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3, R.sup.4 and R.sup.5 is at least 16.

A linear actuator is provided which is able to simplify its structure by adding a stopper function, too, to a detent mechanism and to prevent generation of radial load. The linear actuator comprises a ball screw mechanism, to which a rotational driving force is transmitted, for converting a rotational motion into a linear motion. The ball screw mechanism comprises radially projecting guide projections provided in a linear motion component, and a guide groove arranged in a securing portion facing the linear motion component and is engaged with the guide projections to guide the guide projections in an axial direction. The guide projection has a projection projecting by the predetermined length, while engaging into the guide groove, at a stroke end of the linear motion component and a locking portion provided in a rotary motion component is locked to the projection of the guide projection.

A method which processes a work-piece by a laser machining apparatus, the method includes: forming a groove by laser light irradiated from the laser machining apparatus along a target line of the work-piece which is the boundary between a first area remaining after laser machining and a second area to be removed in the laser machining under a first machining condition in which the work-piece is not penetrated by the laser machining; and irradiating the work-piece with the laser light at a position that is in the second area and at least partially overlaps the groove under a second machining condition in which the work-piece is penetrated.

Since it is configured that an female screw groove 2a of a nut 2 extends round an axis of the nut 2 through 360 degrees or less and a sectional shape thereof taken at right angles to the groove contains a circular arc portion 2c of 90 degrees or less and a rectilinear portion 2d which connects to the circular arc portion at a bottom of the groove and extends in parallel with the axis, after molding, a lower mold LM and an upper mold UM can simply be removed from a barrel mold BM in the axial direction, and consequently, the necessity of provision of a parting plane which passes through the thread groove 2a can be obviated, thereby making it possible to easily form the thread groove 2a which is free from a difference in level or a stepped portion.

An inlet type noise filter which can be directly mounted to a substrate or the like includes a casing, a pair of output terminals, a ground terminal projecting from a surface of the casing and a retaining portion projecting from the same surface of the casing that the terminals project from. The retaining portion extends through bores in the substrate and engage the substrate to secure the noise filter to the substrate. The terminals can then be operatively electrically connected by soldering or the like to conductive patterns on the substrate.
