摘要: In a SiC bipolar semiconductor device with a mesa structure having a SiC drift layer of a first conductive type and a SiC carrier injection layer of a second conductive type that are SiC epitaxial layers grown from a surface of a SiC single crystal substrate, the formation of stacking faults and the expansion of the area thereof are prevented and thereby the increase in forward voltage is prevented. Further, a characteristic of withstand voltage in a reverse biasing is improved. An forward-operation degradation preventing layer is formed on a mesa wall or on a mesa wall and a mesa periphery to separate spatially the surface of the mesa wall from a pn-junction interface. In one embodiment, the forward-operation degradation preventing layer is composed of a silicon carbide low resistance layer of a second conductive type that is equipotential during the application of a reverse voltage. In another embodiment, the forward-operation degradation preventing layer is composed of a silicon carbide conductive layer of a second conductive type, and a metal layer that is equipotential during the application of a reverse voltage is formed on a surface of the silicon carbide conductive layer. In still another embodiment, the forward-operation degradation preventing layer is composed of a high resistance amorphous layer.

摘要: A video plane generation unit decodes stream data into a pair of left-view and right-view video planes, and outputs the pair alternately in a 3D display mode and either of the pair repeatedly in a pseudo 2D display mode. An image plane generation unit generates a pair of left-view and right-view image planes having an OSD at different horizontal locations according to its depth to be perceived, and alternately output the pair of image planes. A pseudo 2D display control unit instructs the video plane generation unit to operate in the 3D display mode and the pseudo 2D display mode in periods where the image plane generation unit does not and does output the image planes, respectively. The adder unit combines a video plane and an image plane generated by the video plane generation unit and the image plane generation unit, respectively, onto a frame, and outputs the frame.

摘要: A broadcast system BS includes a broadcast apparatus 1 and a reception apparatus 2. The broadcast apparatus 1 first receives and stores therein a proxy request PR including at least an identifier assigned to the reception apparatus 2 and a command to be transmitted to the reception apparatus 2. Moreover, the broadcast apparatus 1 extracts the set of the identifier of the reception apparatus 2 and the command for the reception apparatus 2 from the proxy request PR stored therein, and assembles a command packet from the set of the identifier and the command. Then, the broadcast apparatus 1 generates a stream in which the assembled command packet is multiplexed, and sends it out to a broadcast channel. The reception apparatus 2 separates the command packet from the stream sent out to the broadcast channel, and restores the set of the identifier and the command of the reception apparatus 2. Then, the reception apparatus 2 determines whether or not the disassembled command is destined for the present reception apparatus based on the pre-stored identifier of the present reception apparatus and the disassembled identifier of the reception apparatus 2. If so, the reception apparatus 2 stores therein the command destined for the present reception apparatus. The reception apparatus 2 executes the command, which has bee stored as described above.

摘要: An object is to provide a method for making it possible to exchange information between a local host and a remote host even if necessary software is not previously prepared. A local host (1) requests a service administration host (4) to start a desired remote service. In response to the request to start the remote service, the service administration host (4) selects remote hosts (2) that are capable of sharing the remote service with the local host, and returns information as to the remote hosts (2) to the local host. Based on the returned information as to the remote hosts (2), the local host (1) selects a remote host (2) with which it desires to share the remote service, and instructs the remote host (2) to download, from the service administration host (4), software for sharing the remote service. The remote host (2) downloads, from the service administration host (4), necessary software as instructed.
