摘要: For resistance-welding workpieces of metal, an electrode is pressed against superposed regions of the workpieces and an electric current is supplied to the superposed regions to heat the same due to an electric resistance of the workpieces. The electrode has a body having a tip end for pressed engagement with one of the workpieces, and a matrix of tapered teeth disposed on the tip end of the body except for a center of the tip end. The teeth define recesses therebetween. One of the recesses is positioned at the center of the tip end, and the teeth are progressively higher from an outer circumferential edge of the tip end toward the center thereof.

摘要: A self-wrapping dilatation balloon comprising a multiblock copolymer having high elasticity and elastic recovery from nominal strains greater than about 30% is described. Also described herein, is a polymeric extrudate for making a dilatation balloon comprising a multiblock copolymer having tensile strength in the range of about 50 MPa to about 450 MPa, strain at break in the range of about 50% to about 600% and substantially complete elastic recovery from nominal strains of at least about 30%. The extrudate has phase-separated microdomains that are macroscopically aligned in parallel, perpendicular, transverse or a combination thereof. Also described herein is a process for producing a polymeric extrudate for use as a dilatation balloon. The process comprises extruding a multiblock copolymer mixture or composition to form an extrudate. The extruding is done such that the extrudate has phase-separated microdomains that are macroscopically aligned in parallel, perpendicular, transverse or a combination thereof. After extrusion, the process optionally comprises the steps of drawing and coagulating the extrudate.

摘要: There is provided a flat panel type display apparatus which is superior in heat radiation, withstand voltage characteristic, and the like. A flexible substrate having driving devices for driving a display body mounted thereon is provided on the back surface of a metal chassis which supports the display body at the back surface thereof. The back surfaces of substrates of the driving devices which are semiconductor integrated circuit devices are polished to remove unnecessary oxide films therefrom, and formed of metal films on the back surfaces. The driving devices are disposed on the flexible substrate with the metal films facing upward, a solder paste is coated on the surfaces of the metal films and the surfaces of grounding wiring patterns formed on the flexible substrate, and a metal plate is disposed on both members through the solder paste. In the state, the driving devices are connected with the grounding wiring patterns through the metal plate by the re-flow soldering, and the flexible substrate having the driving devices and the metal plate mounted thereon are mounted on the back surface of the metal chassis.
