Abstract:
A partition structure having a screen includes a pair of main wall members disposed in parallel to each other with a predetermined interval, a pair of side wall members connected at end portions thereof to the end portions of the pair of main wall members to connect said main wall members to each other and provide a partition space defined by said main wall members and said side wall members, and one or more spacer members disposed in said partition space and fixed to said main wall members to hold the main wall members in positon. At least a part of at least one of the main wall members and the spacer members being a screen. The partition structure may further include a top member and a bottom member closing the partition space, and a communicating tube communicating with the partition space through the top plate.
Abstract:
A method for manufacturing a woven packing used in a device having an internal structure divided in a plurality of chambers or channels connected to one another for realizing material transfer, heat exchange or fixing between gases, liquids or gas and liquid is disclosed. The packing forming the internal structure has undulating permeable sheets disposed in parallel to one another to form plural channels which extend substantially in the direction of a main stream of fluid, said sheets having projecting portions which are disposed in a direction crossing the direction of the main stream and joints being formed between adjacent permeable sheets in the projecting portions. The joints between the adjacent permeable sheets are formed by simultaneously weaving a plurality of channels to manufacture a woven packing.
Abstract:
A maintenance screen for use in low-velocity, shallow or horizontal or slightly inclined wells is disclosed. The maintenance screen of the present invention utilizes a generally downwardly oriented portion through which fluid can pass and a generally upwardly oriented portion which does not allow sand or fluid to pass therethrough, so that sand naturally gravitates downward through the fluid and away from the portion of the screen through which the fluid may pass to enter the well tubing.
Abstract:
A method of manufacturing a selective isolation screen includes steps of preparing for a tubular screen provided with spacer members and a wire on a base member, and supplying sealing material from a sealing material supply device which supplies sealing material at a location where sealing is required on the tubular screen while rotating the sealing material supply device relative to the tubular screen thereby filling the annulus between the spacer members which are adjacent to each other in the circumferential direction to form seal means. Difficulty in welding can thereby be avoided and location and state of mounting of sleeves can be visually checked.
Abstract:
A well structure suitable for use as a shallow well having a large diameter includes a well curb, and one or more water intake segments mounted in a part of the well curb. Each water intake segments includes a frame made of a vertically arranged pair of flanges extending in the circumferential direction and a laterally arranged pair of flanges extending in the axial direction, the frame having a form which constitute a part of a cylinder, a screen element such as wires and wire supporting rods secured to the frame, and one or more reinforcing members secured at ends thereof to either of the vertically arranged pair of flanges or the laterally arranged pair of flanges for reinforcing the frame.
Abstract:
A double cylinder screen comprises an inner reinforcing cylinder which performs a pressure-resisting function against an external pressure and an outer screen cylinder which performs a screen function. The inner reinforcing screen comprises inner rods disposed cylindrically at a predetermined interval in the axial direction of the screen and a spiral reinforcing member wound on the outside of the inner rods and welded to the inner rods. The outer screen cylinder comprises screen rods disposed at a predetermined interval in the axial direction on the outer periphery of the inner reinforcing member and a wire wound spirally about the outside of the screen rods and welded to the screen rods. The width of a slit of the reinforcing member is larger than the width of a slit of the wire. The double screen cylinder is improved in its stength and can be manufactured without requiring a costly jig.
Abstract:
A screen particularly suitable for use in deep well comprises a reinforcing member (2) of a generally cylindrical configuration, a plurality of support rods (3) arranged on the outside of the reinforcing member (2) in the axial direction thereof and a wire (4) wound helically on the outside of the support rods (3). A multitude of slits (2b) continuous in substantially the circumferential direction of the reinforcing member (2) are formed at a predetermined pitch in the reinforcing member (2). The screen made according to the invention has a much larger opening space and therefore has a greater fluid collecting efficiency than conventional screens while maintaining a sufficient strength against an external pressure.
Abstract:
According to the invention, there is provided a method for manufacturing a fluid contacting device according to which a single side wall of vertically continuous hollow prism-shaped elements is formed of a single sheet of metal or like material and a plurality of such sheets are regularly arranged and joined together to form the fluid contacting device. By this arrangement, assembling of the fluid contacting device is made very simple, waste of material in forming the side wall sheet can be held to the minimum and an unused portion between a column and the fluid contacting device can be eliminated whereby a fluid contacting efficiency can be improved.
