Abstract: A rental self-service (“RSS”) computer system, including a processor and a memory, is provided. The processor is programmed to: (i) retrieve policyholder insurance data using a claim identifier and a policyholder identifier; (ii) generate a customized link including the claim identifier and the policyholder identifier, wherein the customized link is executable on a user device to cause display of a searchable interface configured to enable the claimant to search for rentable vehicles from a plurality of vendors; (iii) in response to receiving the customized link from the user device, retrieve rental vehicle data including at least one rental vendor location and vehicle rental cost information; (iv) cause the retrieved rental vehicle data to be displayed on the user device to enable the claimant to view available rental options; and (v) receive confirmation of a rental reservation request of a selected rental option at a selected rental vendor location.

Abstract: A virtual environment may be generated, the environment including a procedurally generated virtual property. The virtual property may include various features automatically generated based upon a procedural rule set, so as to provide variability between two or more virtual properties. One or more procedurally generated virtual properties may be provided to a user, and various virtual tools may be provided via which the user may identify relevant aspects corresponding to risk associated with the virtual property.

Abstract: Methods and system for guiding user data capture during a scan of a vehicle using a mobile device are disclosed. A user may scan a vehicle using a camera or other sensors of the mobile device to capture data from which a three-dimensional virtual model may be generated. During the scanning process, models may be generated and evaluated according to quality metrics. Visual cues may be determined and presented to the user during scanning to indicate areas sufficiently scanned or areas requiring additional scanning to meet data quality requirements for model generation. Damage to vehicle components may be identified by analysis of the generated model, and addition data capture or user annotation entry may be directed based upon the identified damage.

Abstract: A heuristic engine includes capabilities to collect an unstructured data set and detect instances of transaction fraud in a financial account. By providing a heuristic algorithm with unstructured transaction sets and indications of particular instances of transactions that correlate with past fraudulent activity allows prevention of future occurrences of fraud. Such heuristic algorithms may learn from past indications of fraudulent activity and improve accuracy of detection of future fraud detections.

Abstract: A method of generating generic protocol handlers includes receiving a user request in a middleware, generating a request payload by analyzing the request in a protocol handler of the middleware, transforming the request payload into a set of canonical types, transmitting the set of canonical types to a path module, receiving a response payload, transforming the response payload in a second protocol handler of the middleware, and transmitting the response to the user.

Abstract: A vehicle safety information system is presented that may include a user computing device configured to determine whether identifying information associated with a first vehicle is to be transmitted to at least one additional device. The user computing device may also be configured to transmit the identifying information based on this determination. The user computing device may further be configured to receive, in response to a determination via the at least one additional device that safety information associated with the first vehicle is to be provided, the safety information. The determination that the safety information is to be provided may be based on information available at the at least one additional device. The at least one additional device may access and transmit the safety information to the user computing device so that the safety information is made available to a user.

Abstract: Systems and methods for providing augmented reality overlay displays related to repairs may include obtaining sensor data associated with a home or vehicle and analyzing the sensor data associated to identify a vehicle component and/or home appliance that is not functioning properly. Repairs for the vehicle component and/or home appliance that is not functioning properly may be identified, and a determination may be made as to whether it is safe for a vehicle operator and/or home resident to perform the repair. If so, an augmented reality overlay display may be presented upon images/video of the vehicle/home captured in real time, identifying vehicle/home components that must be manipulated in order to perform the repair. If not, the augmented reality display may identify portions of the vehicle or home of which the vehicle operator must capture images in order to request a professional repair or submit an insurance claim.

Abstract: Methods and systems for predictively generating an insurance claim in response to detecting an imminent insurance-related event are provided. According to certain aspects, a smart home controller or insurance provider remote processor may store a first set of data received from smart devices disposed on, or proximate to, a property. This data may be analyzed to detect that an insurance-related event is imminent and calculate a likelihood that a property owner will file an insurance claim in response to damage caused by the imminent insurance-related event. If there is a sufficient likelihood that an insurance claim will be filed, the smart home controller or remote processor may store a second set of data received from the smart devices. Subsequently, according to certain aspects, the second set of data may be analyzed to prepopulate an automatically generated insurance claim with information detailing damage to the property caused by the insurance-related event.
