摘要: A refrigeration system including a storage chamber configured to store a product at a predetermined temperature. The storage chamber is defined by an inner wall. The inner wall at least partially defines an air plenum. The inner wall includes an opening wall surface, a floor surface, a rear wall surface and a ceiling wall surface. The system also includes a refrigerant circuit including a compressor, a condenser, a condenser fan, an evaporator and an evaporator fan arranged and disposed in an operable configuration to provide refrigeration to the storage chamber. The air plenum includes a conduit arranged and disposed to convey air from an air inlet across the evaporator and into a discharge chamber and out an air outlet. The air outlet is configured to discharge cooled air in a direction toward the opening wall surface.

摘要: A defrosting system for defrosting an evaporator assembly is disclosed. The system includes the evaporator assembly, an electrically resistive coating having an electrically insulative matrix and a conductive doping agent disposed on at least one surface of the evaporator assembly, and a plurality of electrical terminals arranged and disposed to supply electricity to the electrically resistive coating. A method for defrosting an evaporator assembly and a coating for heating evaporator assemblies are also disclosed.

摘要: A pressure differential indicator that eliminates the risk of providing a false positive due to fluid contamination. The invention has an electrically insulated barrier between the “hot” pin and the grounded housing without the need for a hermetic seal. The indicator can be manufactured at a greater efficiency and lower cost than is found with prior art pressure differential indicators. It has a piston that can be easily oriented to yield either a normally closed or normally open position. The indicator has at least one protrusion on a plastic overmold to engage the swage collar and resist axial rotation of the pin. A pressure seal interrupting the plastic overmold sections and exposing the underlying metal to allow for an O-ring seal with no potential leak path between plastic and metal. Finally, the pressure differential indicator has all moving components contained within a single cavity.

The method utilizes molds and cores configured such that none of the fluid ports of the housing produced using the molds and cores have any intersecting geometry. The net-molded pump housing may also include a cross-tube insert providing flow communication between a fluid inlet port and a pressure relief port.

摘要: A method for forming a large metallic component, a friction stir welded component and a friction stir welded blank are provided. The method includes positioning a first metallic plate and a second metallic plate in an abutting arrangement. The first metallic plate and the second metallic plate have corresponding faying surfaces at a point of abutment. A backing plate is attached spanning the point of abutment adjacent the faying surfaces. The first metallic plate is friction stir welded to the second metallic plate to form a friction stir weld along the faying surfaces. The backing plate receives an end of a friction stir welding tool curing the friction stir welding. The backing plate is removed to form a welded blank. The welded blank is formed into a component form. The component is heat treated and aged to form the large metallic component. The friction stir weld in the welded blank has a stable microstructure having little or no abnormal grain growth during elevated temperature forming, heat treatment and aging.
