    摘要: An improved contact lens case which includes domes that are provided on hinged members. Preferably, the contact lens case is configured to efficiently utilize space and volume such that no more than 10 cc's of contact lens solution are required to disinfect contact lenses in the case. The hinged members are preferably non-planar which allows the domes to be provided on the hinged members, and allows the use of deep larger diameter, back-to-back cages on the stem, without having to resort to using more than 10 cc's of fluid to immerse contact lenses that are disposed on the domes, between each of the domes and a respective cage. Each of the hinged members has a cylindrically-curved shell form in which the axis of its curve is approximately parallel to the central axis of the central planar stem member.

    摘要: An actuating mechanism for rapidly and selectively moving a threaded screw and nut member combination into or out of threaded engagement, particularly for use to pressurize angioplasty balloon catheters, or the like. The mechanism includes a housing and a threaded screw structure slidably displaceable through the housing. A nut member having partial threads is selectively engageable and disengageable with the threaded screw structure. The mechanism includes a carrier member and is designed to be assembled from the rear. The carrier member is preferably configured to be retainably engaged with the housing via a bayonet arrangement, such as a quarter-turn bayonet arrangement, and is configured to provide an audible indication when it is, in fact, properly and fully installed. Preferably, the housing is configured to receive a pressure gauge directly into a threaded bore on the housing. An improved method of assembling an actuating mechanism is also provided.

    摘要: A novel lancet device is disclosed, and the lancet device is compact and is designed to be held like a writing instrument during use. The device has a trigger relatively close to a firing end so the device can be easily maintained in the desired position while the device is being fired. A cocking knob on the device is rotated one hundred eighty degrees in order to cock the device and prepare the device for use. Only a relatively small amount of rotational force is needed to rotate the cocking knob. The device provides that a lancing needle does not extend and become exposed when the device is cocked. A thumb button is provided on the device, and the thumb button doubles as a depth adjustment knob and an ejector button. The thumb button can be pressed in order to simultaneously eject a tip platform along with the lancing needle, and can be turned in order to set the depth at which the lancing needle will pierce the fingertip when the device is fired. The thumb button can be pushed or rotated without applying an excessive amount of force.

    摘要: An actuator device for propulsion of a needle assembly particularly employed for tissue sampling procedures includes a movable drive structure for propelling tissue sampling displacement of the needle assembly and a cocking structure arranged to reverse the displacement of the drive structure after the needle propulsion. A trigger structure in the actuator device cooperates with the drive structure to selectively activate the needle propulsion, and the trigger structure comprises a retention mechanism for releasably restraining the propulsion. The trigger structure also includes safety lock structure which releasably locks the activation restraint by the retention mechanism, and the cocking structure has release structure for unlocking the restraint by the retention mechanism to selectively allow operation of the trigger structure to activate propulsion by the drive structure.

    摘要: In a gas turbine bucket having a shank portion, a radial tip portion and an airfoil having leading and trailing edges and pressure and suction surfaces, and an internal fluid cooling circuit, an improvement wherein the internal fluid cooling circuit has a serpentine configuration including plural radial outflow passages and plural radial inflow passages. The radial outflow passages, in one example, are shaped to have aspect ratios of about 3.3 to 1 and Buoyancy Numbers of 0.80. A method of determining a configuration for steam cooling passages for a bucket stage in a gas turbine is also provided which includes, in one example, the steps of:a) determining combustion gas inlet temperature and mass flow rate of combustion gases passing through the gas turbine stage;b) taking into account Coriolis and buoyancy secondary flow effects in the steam coolant caused by rotation of the bucket stage; andc) configuring the radial outflow coolant passages to have a size and shape sufficient to produce aspect ratios of about 3.3 to 1 and Buoyancy Numbers in the radial outflow passages of 0.80.

    摘要: A fluid pumping assembly for particular use in delivery of sterile fluid used in surgical procedures, includes a pump control structure to which a replaceable fluid pumping cartridge is connected and disconnected to provide convenient replacement and disposability of the cartridge. The pump cartridge is self-contained in that it includes a fluid pump which is adapted for automatic connection to a pump drive structure when the cartridge is inserted into the assembly, so that the sterile fluid is pumped only through the pumping cartridge and fluid flow is entirely isolated from the pump control structure to ensure that the fluid is maintained sterile during pumping. The cartridge can include a selectively activated pulsation control to enable discharging the fluid from the cartridge in either a continuous flow or pulsating flow of the fluid. The cartridge can also include fluid flow dampening and safety vent features. The pump control structure can provide a pneumatic drive system which cycles pressurized air to drive the pump. A pneumatic control valve provides cycled switching of alternating air pressure and exhaust communication with the pump.

In particular, this invention relates to a mainlobe canceller that utilizes a main antenna and one or more widely spaced auxiliary antennas in conjunction with one or more phase locked loops (PLL), to automatically align the jamming signals received by the several antennas. The alignment is necessary to realize a high degree of jammer cancellation.
