摘要: A conformable, flexible or roll up display (100) includes a matrix display layer (115) including lines of sub-pixels (116). Each line has an associated color assigned to the line (132, 134, 136), and each line extends along a roll up or bend direction (140). A display effect layer (128) is formed on the matrix layer. A color filter layer (152) includes striped color filters (154) which extend in the roll up or bend direction. The striped color filters each include a filter color corresponding with the lines of sub-pixels in the matrix layer to address misalignment and color errors due to bending or rolling up the display. Methods for fabricating flexible displays are also disclosed.

摘要: A tracking index cathode ray tube circuit includes a tracking circuit connected to a shadowmaskless tracking cathode ray tube for deriving a tracking signal therefrom. The tracking circuit comprises a modulator demodulator circuit. The tracking signal from the CRT tube is thus modulated, AC coupled to a low voltage and demodulated to obtain a baseband tracking signal for use as a control signal for the electron beam spots on the screen of the CRT tube.

摘要: An electronic device having a touch sensitive panel has an opened and a closed state, and comprises a sensor circuit, a touch simulation facility and a comparator. The sensor circuit is for generating a touch signal indicative for a position where a touch of the touch sensitive panel is detected. The touch simulation facility is for evoking a touch signal at a position of the touch sensitive panel, and comprises a touch simulation element which in the closed state of the electronic device is arranged opposite the touch sensitive panel. The comparator is for comparing the touch signal with a reference value corresponding to the touch simulation element and for generating a correction signal for adjusting a setting of the sensor circuit for compensation of a difference detected between the position where the touch signal is evoked and the position indicated by the touch signal.

摘要: A display system includes a continuous flexible display, two main display supports each structurally configured to support a respective portion of the flexible display, a segment of the flexible display being located between the said respective display portions. The two main display supports are hingeable between a closed configuration for fixing the flexible display in a storage position and an open configuration for fixing the flexible display in an open position. In the storage position between the main display supports there is a free space enabling a partial curvature of said display segment without conflicting with the respective main display support. At least one additional display support is configured to support said segment of the flexible display in the storage position and facilitates the curvature of the display segment with a predefined radius which is larger than the critical radius Rcrit for the flexible display.

The display panel has a plurality of display elements arranged between a first and a second electrode layer. The display driver is arranged for providing display signals comprising a common display signal and an input control signal to the display panel. The sensor circuit is arranged for providing a probe signal and a shield signal mutually having the same phase and frequency and for generating a touch signal in response to the output signal received from the first electrode layer. The combination unit provides a drive signal to the first electrode layer derived from the common display signal and the probe signal, and further provides an output control signal for the display panel from the input control signal and the shield signal.

摘要: A display apparatus is described that includes a plurality of electrofluidic chromatophore (EFC) pixel cells. Each pixel cell comprises a fluid holder for holding a polar fluid and a non-polar fluid having differing display properties, the fluid holder comprising a reservoir with a geometry having a small visible area projected in the direction of a viewer onto the polar fluid, and a channel with a geometry having a large visible area projected in the direction of a viewer onto the polar fluid. The channel is connected to the reservoir so as to enable free movement of the polar fluid and non-polar fluid between the channel and the reservoir. At least part of a surface of the channel comprises a wetting property responsive to a supply voltage over the pixel cell and defining (i) a stable region wherein the supply voltage stabilizes polar fluid in the channel; (ii) a fill region that controls filling of polar fluid in the channel and (iii) a retract region that controls retracting of polar fluid in the channel. At least two pixel cell terminals are configured to supply the supply voltage to at least part of the surface of the channel comprising the wetting property for supply voltage controlled channel movement of polar fluid. The display further comprises a driver operative to provide controlled column voltages and any of a predefined row select or non-select voltage. A circuit board comprises a row electrode and a column electrode each directly connecting the driver to the pixel cell terminals for supplying the supply voltage to the pixel cell terminals as a voltage difference between the row and column electrodes in a passive matrix configuration.
