    摘要: One or more methods, systems and computer readable mediums are utilized to provide treatment of a subterranean formation that contains solid organic matter, such as oil shale, tar sands, and/or coal formation. The treatment of the formation includes heating a treatment interval within the subterranean formation with one or more electrical in situ heaters. Available power, or other production resources, for the electrical heaters are determined at regular, predetermined intervals. Heating rates of the one or more electrical heaters are selectively controlled based on the determined available power at each regular, predetermined interval and based on an optimization model that outputs optimal heating rates for each of the electrical heaters at the determined available power.

In one or more embodiments, the method includes splitting a hydrocarbon stream comprising natural gas and acid gas into a first stream and a second stream. Alternatively, the first stream and second stream may be provided from other sources. The first stream is processed to remove a portion of the acid gas therefrom, thereby producing a third stream comprising the acid gas removed from the first stream and a fourth stream comprising less than 100 ppm of sulfur-containing compounds. The second stream is combined with the third stream to provide a combined stream, which is compressed and reinjected into a subterranean reservoir.

    摘要: A drive system for a refrigeration compressor such as is used in a natural gas liquefaction plant, allowing the desired compressor speed and maximum turbine efficiency to be maintained throughout varying ambient temperature conditions. A gas turbine is used with an electric starter motor with drive-through capability located on a common drive shaft between the turbine and the compressor. A variable frequency drive (VFD) is connected between the electrical power grid and the electric motor for smooth startups, but also to allow excess turbine mechanical power to be converted to electrical power by the motor operating as a generator, and delivered to the grid at the grid frequency. Pulse width modulation technology may be used to reduce harmonic distortion in the VFD's output. The starter motor also functions as a helper motor when the turbine output is insufficient to drive the compressor at the rotational speed needed to meet throughput requirements.

    摘要: This invention relates to an electric multiple motor/generator with axial magnetic flux. Thus a generator/motor or electrical machine in which a magnetic flux path through one or more pole legs or pole cores surrounded by current windings or coils is provided. This allows a high density of the magnetic flux to be passed through the pole legs or cores, which results in a low consumption of material for the pole legs or pole cores compared with prior art machines, where for example a large stator diameter may be needed in order to conduct a high magnetic flux. Additionally the generator/motor or electrical machine is very efficient both at a low and a high number of revolutions. According to another aspect of the invention a multiple phase output without enlarging the diameter of the generator is provided.
