摘要： Control systems and methods are provided for controlling a personal communication device (PCD), such as a wireless telephone, personal data assistant (PDA), etc. The control systems and methods enable the controlled PCD (CPCD): (1) to determine (a) CPCD motion (speed, acceleration, or both) and/or (b) geographical location and (2) to (a) modify (enable, disable, and/or otherwise change) one or more CPCD functions based at least in part on the CPCD motion and/or geographical location and/or (b) communicate an alert (locally and/or to a remote communication device). The control of CPCD functions and alerts may also be dependent on other factors, such as the laws of the authoritative legal jurisdiction wherein the CPCD is located. 摘要： A conveyor system having an infeed conveyor section, an outfeed conveyor section, and a working conveyor section positioned in between and in line with the infeed and outfeed conveyor sections. The working conveyor section includes a base and a frame which is movably mounted relative to the base between a lower position and a raised position. In order to move the frame between its lower and raised position, a driver is rotatably mounted about a substantially horizontal axis to the base while an elongated drive link has one end pivotally connected to the frame and its other end pivotally connected to the driver at a position radially spaced from its axis. A drive mechanism selectively pivots the driver between first and second rotational positions which are spaced substantially 180 degrees from each other. In doing so, the coaction between the driver and the drive link moves the frame between its raised and lowered position.

摘要： An improved apparatus for inspecting and video taping pipelines is provided. A tubular vessel accommodates a video camera. A plurality of scuba lights are adjustably mounted to the periphery of the tubular housing at the front end of the apparatus. A dual-section guide leg is provided which has limited upward and downward movement and limited forward and rearward movement. An elastic member controls the upward/downward and forward/rearward movement of the guide leg to provide a shock absorber system. The guide leg engages the top inside surface of the pipeline as the apparatus is carried down the pipeline by the current. The angle of inclination of the apparatus may be controlled with weights, foam and the position of the guide leg.

摘要： Cleaning of water intake and outfall pipe passage wall incrustation is effected by propelling an incrustation dislodging device along the wall while running fluid through the pipe to flush the dislodged incrustation, which may be collected for disposition at the pipe discharge. A preferred form of the cleaning device comprises a circular stiff wire brush assembly through which the flushing fluid can flow at a greater speed than the propulsion speed of the device. A sea anchor may be used to run propulsion line for the device through the pipe passage. Before effecting operation of the device, a camcorder may be run along the incrusted passage wall for determining the nature of the incrustation.

The locking action utilizes a cam and follower arrangement and is provided by a detent in a lock position of the cam contour. The detent retains the cam follower in the lock position and prevents the cam follower from becoming unintentionally released, preventing the tooling attachment from becoming loose or disconnected from the boom.
