Abstract:
A grasp-activated power switch is integrated within a handle for a hand-held power tool. The switch has an outer shell defining an inner channel with a first and second pin extending therein. The tool body has a first and second conductor. A motor within the tool body is electrically connected to one of the first or second conductors and to an internal battery. The internal battery is connected to the other of the first or second conductors. On its surface the outer shell has actuating and non-actuating areas. A manual grasping force when applied to the actuating area connects the first and second pins with the first and second conductors to complete an electrical circuit. The closure energizes the tool motor. With each grasp, the switch toggles power to the motor off or on, and when on, the motor transmits power through the inner channel.

The present invention provides a neutral spine support system that includes a lower body bolster, an upper body supporter and an optional coverall. The lower body bolster includes a raised leg supporter, a leg spacer and a pelvic supporter, while the upper body supporter includes a back support, a neck rest, a head cradle, a right head support and a left head support. The raised leg supporter supports the legs in a raised-knee position, and includes cutouts to reduce direct knee pressure. The pelvic supporter supports the user's pelvic region and rotates the sacrum base upwards while avoiding direct sacrum pressure. The back support keeps the user's upper and middle spine in an open and neutral position.

A molten metal handling device comprising an outer shell defined by a bottom and two side walls, an insulating layer partially filling the outer shell and a thermally conductive castable refractory body for carrying molten metal, the refractory body being within the insulating layer. The device further includes at least one heating element positioned in the insulating layer, adjacent to the refractory body. The refractory body is preferably fabricated from a castable alumina or castable silicon carbide material.

Various health care services may be provided to a patient via a virtual nurse or interactive user application operating on a user computing device. One example method may include receiving user input selections from inquiries generated to receive user input, generating a numerical score corresponding to each user input selection and incorporating the numerical scores with a user's primary health score. The method may also include determining whether the user's primary health score is above or below a predetermined health threshold, and creating a notification alert invoking a health care action if the user's primary health score exceeds or undercuts the health threshold.

The present invention provides a gas generator that may be used for startup and shutdown of a fuel cell. In one non-limiting embodiment, the gas generator may include a nitrogen generator structured to receive air, extract oxygen (O2) from the air and discharge the balance in the form of a nitrogen-rich gas; a merging chamber structured to receive a hydrocarbon fuel and the nitrogen-rich gas and to discharge a feed mixture containing both the hydrocarbon fuel and the nitrogen-rich gas; and a catalytic reactor structured to receive the feed mixture and to catalytically convert the feed mixture into a reducing gas.
