Abstract:
A power supply system, particularly to be used in maritime oil/natural gas production includes at least one data transfer/voltage conversion unit arranged above sea level and one electrical means such as a choke, gate valve, production tree, power control/communication unit and the like arranged below sea level, which are electrically connected via a cable connection at least for power supply. To improve such a power supply system in a manner that this system has a simple structure and each data transfer/voltage conversion unit can also provide higher powers over a predetermined period of time or during continuous operation, a plurality of data transfer/voltage conversion units are arranged modularly, and one additional power supply module can be connected thereto to increase the power supply, and the electrical power, respectively.
Abstract:
A power supply device (1) for at least one electrical means (2) arranged below sea level, for instance a power supply and control device, or the like, used in maritime oil and/or gas production, comprises a voltage supply means (3) particularly provided above sea level, which is connected via a first cable connection (4) to the electrical means (2) and via a second cable connection (5) to a subsea anode (6). —The electrical means has assigned thereto a subsea cathode (7) for closing the circuit. It is thereby ensured that power supply is guaranteed even in the case of reduced cabling efforts for a long period of time and can be maintained and repaired in a simple way.
Abstract:
A control and supply system for electrical devices comprises at least one voltage supply and control device above sea level, a subsea cable connecting the voltage supply and control device with the electrical devices, and a control and actuating device which is associated essentially in situ with the electrical devices. The control and supply system allows supplies over larger distances, uses fewer devices, obtains higher efficiency and makes better use of the system. In order to achieve this, the voltage supply and control device comprises at least one AC/DC converter for producing a direct voltage in order to feed the subsea cable. The control and actuating device is associated with at least one DC/DC or DC/AC converter for converting the DC voltage transmitted by the sub-sea cable into a DC voltage or an AC voltage. The voltage generated thereby can be transmitted to the electrical device via a connecting line.
Abstract:
A universal energy supply system for at least one electrical consumer comprises at least one AC voltage source and a cable connection connecting the source with the electrical consumer, wherein an AC/DC converting means is assigned to the AC voltage source for converting the AC voltage into DC voltage which DC voltage can be supplied to the electrical consumer via the cable connection. To improve such a universal energy supply system in that with small constructional efforts and with low costs, the energy supply to an electrical consumer is guaranteed also over great distances and the corresponding voltage supply is stabilized, the efficiency being relatively high at the same time and the system being redundant, the AC/DC conversion means comprises a number of AC/DC converting units which are connected in parallel with the AC voltage source on the input side and are serially connected to the electric consumer on the output side, each converting unit being constructed as a blocked switch mode power supply.

Manual actuating device for the actuation of an appliance, subjected to a force in a direction opposite to the actuation direction, especially in the production of mineral oil or natural gas, such as a blowout preventer (BOP), valve, actuator, throttle or similar, with a rotating spindle, which can be connected to a displacing element of the appliance, moveable in the actuation direction, and with a regulating device, drive-connected through at least one mechanism and which can be manually actuated. In order to improve such a manual actuating device such that, even with a low number of revolutions of the regulating device, high forces on the rotating spindle and therefore on the displacing element can be transferred and there is no need for supporting equipment, such as hydraulics or similar, the mechanism exhibits a screw drive with screw drive nut and the rotating spindle as recirculating spindle, whereby the screw drive nut is drive-connected to the regulating device.
Abstract:
A transducer, a method and a coding pattern for determining a kinematic measurable variable are disclosed. A transducer comprises a first device part which is moveable in or through a corresponding device for oil or natural gas production and a second device part which is stationary relative to said first device part. To detect both the directions of movement and the respective position in a simple constructional and inexpensive way without the need for return movement up to ends of the range of movement, the first and/or second device part comprises a coding pattern which is changing along a direction of movement and of which position-specific patterns can be scanned by a scanning means which is arranged on the respective other device part. By scanning such a specific coding pattern during mutual relative movement of said objects or device parts a corresponding scanning signal can then be converted by an evaluation unit into a kinematic measurable variable. The corresponding coding pattern comprises a plurality of single patterns wherein neighboring single patterns differ from one another by at least one characteristic feature and/or said single pattern has at least one characteristic feature that is changing in the direction of movement.
