Abstract:
A method for analyzing a minute quantity of a material included in a different material is performed in short extraction treatment without taking a long time and the minute content is rapidly analyzed. The method of analyzing a minute content includes mounting on a sample table a sample piece of a material having a minute content of a different material to be analyzed; dropping onto the sample table a solvent for extracting the minute content from the sample piece, so that the solvent is disposed between the sample table and the sample piece; maintaining at room temperature the solvent between the sample table and the sample piece, and, with the solvent maintained between the sample table and the sample piece, extracting the material of the minute content from the sample piece; and analyzing the content extracted from the sample piece.
Abstract:
An image forming apparatus is supplied capable of feeding paper or ejecting paper to position which is desired by user. In the image forming apparatus which has medium accommodating sections, a first storing section stores accommodating section selection data correspondence information in which first medium accommodating section selection data assigned to other image forming apparatus corresponds to second medium accommodating section selection data assigned to the image forming apparatus serving as self apparatus; a receiving section receives the first medium accommodating section selection data and image data from an upper apparatus; a correcting section corrects the first medium accommodating section selection data received from the upper apparatus into second medium accommodating section selection data on the basis of the accommodating section selection data correspondence information stored in the first storing section; and a selecting section selects medium accommodating section on the basis of the second medium accommodating section selection data obtained by the correcting section.
Abstract:
In the image forming apparatus by: visualizing an electrostatic latent image formed on an electrostatic charge carrying member; transferring a toner image, which is thus visualized, to a recording medium, or to a recording medium through an intermediate transfer material; and fixing the toner image, which is thus transferred to the recording medium, to obtain a recorded image, the toner includes at least a fixing resin, a colorant, a releasing agent, and an external additive, the toner has an average particle diameter in a range of from 4 to 12 μm and including no particle having a diameter of 45 μm or more, a ratio of a toner adhesion amount in a character part to a toner adhesion amount in a solid image part upon printing is more than 0.5 and less than 4, and the toner adhesion amount in a character part is 1.6 mg/cm2 or less.
Abstract:
An electrophotographic toner containing: a fixing resin, a colorant, and wax. The wax at least contains hydrocarbon wax having a number-average molecular weight of not higher than 600, and polyethylene wax having a number-average molecular weight of not higher than 600, a melting viscosity of lower than 15 mPa·s at 140° C. and a crystallinity of lower than 95%. A ratio of the hydrocarbon wax to the polyethylene wax is in a range of from 1:10 to 2:1. A maximum of absorption peaks in a heat-up time absorption calorie curve in a DSC curve of the toner measured by a differential scanning calorimeter is at a temperature not higher than 75° C. An onset temperature in absorption of heat is not higher than 65° C.
Abstract:
A recording and/or reproducing apparatus having a plurality of tape transport modes is arranged such that, in changing a stop mode over to a desired mode through an intermediate tape transport mode among the plurality of tape transport modes, the tape is allowed to begin to travel when the process of mode change-over comes to the intermediate tape transport mode and the mode change-over process is continued further to the desired tape transport mode, while the tape is thus allowed to travel before the desired tape transport mode is attained. This arrangement substantially shortens the length of time required for mode change-over, so that the operability of the apparatus can be enhanced.
Abstract:
Apparatus for loading and unloading a tape-type recording medium in a recording/reproducing device, such as a VTR. The apparatus has a rotary drum carrying magnetic heads, and a pair of rail members arranged around the rotary drum and each having a first elongated slot formed therein. Tape guides are guided along respective rail members, and a drum base is provided having a drum support portion for supporting the rotary drum. Second elongated slots are formed at the outer side of the drum support portion, the second elongated slots being connected to corresponding first elongated grooves so as to form continuous guide grooves for guiding the tape guides. Interconnectors are provided either on the drum base or on the rail members so as to interconnect the portions which define the elongated slots in the regions of these grooves near their open ends to prevent bending of the slots.
Abstract:
Method for detecting and examining a slightly irregular surface state is provided which includes the steps of: illuminating a surface of a sample with light beam for detecting the slightly irregular surface state; observing a variation of the light beam occurring due to the slightly irregular surface state to specify the location of the slightly irregular surface state in an x-y plane of the sample; making the location of a probe needle of a scanning probe microscope and the location of the slightly irregular surface state on the sample coincide with each other; and measuring a three-dimensional image of the slightly irregular surface state by means of the scanning probe microscope. The scanning probe microscope for use in the aforementioned method and a method for fabricating a semiconductor device or a liquid crystal display device which utilizes the aforementioned method are also provided.
Abstract:
A tape tension adjusting device includes a tension arm rotatable in accordance with a tape tension, a restricting member for restricting the rotation of the tension arm when the tape tension applied is more than a predetermined value and a pressing mechanism for pressing the tension arm against the restricting member when the tape is not running.
Abstract:
In an electrophotographic developing device, its doctor blade disposed adjacent to a magnetic roll so as to control the thickness of a layer of magnetic developing agent conveyed by the magnetic roll has an edge which is curved in such a manner that the gap between the edge and the magnetic roll is a minimum in the vicinity of the middle of the magnetic roll, whereby the layer of magnetic developing agent is made uniform in thickness and the printing density is made uniform despite gravitational sagging of the roll.
