    Abstract: An adjustable support structure for a fireplace including upper and lower bars extending in a longitudinal direction, the upper bar being positioned above the lower bar and including a surface upon which the fireplace can rest. First and second cross bars are also included, each with upper and lower ends, the upper end of the first cross bar being coupled to the upper bar and the lower end of the second cross bar being coupled to the lower bar. The lower end of the first cross bar is moveably coupled to the lower bar and the upper end of the second cross bar is moveably coupled to the upper bar such that the upper bar may be adjusted upwards in a plane with respect to the lower bar to a desired height.

    Abstract: The present invention comprises a system and method for protecting the interior of an automobile having at least a power roof or power windows. The method includes a damaging element detection sensor for detecting moisture or airborne particles which may damage the interior of the automobile by contacting the material when the automobile is left unattended with the automobile power roof or power windows in an open or lowered position. The damaging element detection sensor may be one of a moisture or particle sensor which detects airborne moisture or particles and accordingly automatically operates the power windows or power roof without the intervention of the automobile operator. The system evaluates whether the moisture or particles are still contacting the automobile and may return the power roof or power windows to the position they were in prior to the moisture detection. The invention further includes an obstruction sensor for detecting whether an obstruction is impeding the operation of power roof and power windows, and an occupant sensor for determining whether there is an occupant in the automobile who may manually control the power windows and power roof, and operate the power roof and power windows accordingly.

    Abstract: An apparatus for parallel processing of reaction mixtures comprises a plurality of vessels for holding a plurality of reaction mixtures for processing. A plurality of vessel supports are adapted for supporting the plurality of vessels. Caps sealingly engage the vessel supports for sealing the vessels within the vessel supports. The vessels, vessel supports, and caps define reaction chambers having bearings and stirrers rotatable therein. The stirrers each comprise a spindle rotatable in a respective bearing and at least one stirring implement extending from the spindle for contacting a respective reaction mixture. The stirrers further comprise at least one magnet adapted to be subjected to a rotating magnetic field in the vessel for causing the stirrer to rotate thereby to mix the respective reaction mixture. The stirrers may further comprise a first magnetic follower, a second magnetic follower, and a flux guide for guiding magnetic flux between the first magnetic follower and the second magnetic follower, thereby creating a magnetic flux path between the stirrer and a respective one of a plurality of magnetic drivers coupled to the stirrers for rotating the stirrers within the vessels.
