    摘要: Described is an end mill with four straight front cutting edges arranged on a front side and a corresponding number of circumferential cutting edges that each emanate from the outer nose of the front cutting edges and are separated from each other by flutes. One of the front cutting edges passes over into a second cutting edge via a free surface intersecting line. The additional front cutting edges lying between the latter in the cutting direction are offset relative to each other by a first angular pitch of 180°, and end before the middle. So that the end mill can be used in an especially advantageous manner for incorporating dimensionally and positionally precise pilot holes or chamfering curved work piece surfaces, the first front cutting edge is offset relative to the second front cutting edge in the cutting direction by a second angular pitch ranging between 173° and 177°, preferably between 174° and 176°, wherein the first front cutting edge is offset relative to the next additional front cutting edge in the cutting direction by a third angular pitch ranging between 90° and 94°, preferably between 91° and 93°.

    摘要: A tool for machining a stacked material workpiece includes a tool body having one or more helical flutes extending to a forward end of the tool body. Each helical flute has a width defined by a first cutting edge and a second edge, a surface of the flute adjacent the first cutting edge facing the forward end of the tool body and a surface of the flute adjacent the second edge facing away from the forward end of the tool body. Each helical flute can include a first portion having a first negative pitch angle and a second portion having a second negative pitch angle different from the first negative pitch angle, the first portion extending from the forward end of the tool body to the second portion. The tool has only negative pitch angles. A method for machining a stacked material is also disclosed.

The cutting portions of the end mills have lengths of cut that are no more than twice their cutting diameters and cores which are at least 0.7 times their cutting diameters. Their cutting ends have negative axial rake and are gashed ahead of center and have radial cutting edges with negative rake. Such end mills also have radiused corners and gashes transitioning from radial to axial at a flute. Methods of milling materials using such ceramic end mills are also disclosed.

    摘要: A tungsten steel cutter which is lower cost to use and can increase fabrication efficiency and improve quality mainly includes a shank and a bit screwing at a front end of the shank. Both are made of tungsten steel and formed in an integrated fashion. The shank has a screw hole at the front end and a coupling trough formed at the front end of the screw hole. The bit has a screw bar extended from the bottom end thereof and a coupling neck at the front section of the screw bar. The coupling trough is formed at a depth same as the height of the coupling neck and the coupling trough and the coupling neck are formed at the same size. The bit and the shank have respectively a water discharge passage and a water drawing passage, and a water intake passage that communicate with each other. The water intake passage is formed at a greater diameter than the water discharge passage and water drawing passage. Thus when the bit and the shank are screwed together, in addition to screw coupling of the screw hole and the screw bar, the coupling trough and the coupling neck also form a tight coupling to minimize gaps that might otherwise happen between them like the conventional ones do. The water discharge passage and water intake passage provide cooling effect for cutting fluid and prevent debris from accumulating on the bit and affecting cutting quality. The invention provides a two-section coupling that can save the cost and improve steadiness and fabrication efficiency of precision tools.
