    摘要: A spark ignition internal combustion engine includes: a compression ratio changing mechanism by which a volume of a combustion chamber varies; a cylinder internal pressure sensor that acquires a pressure signal of a pressure vibration inside a cylinder; and an abnormal combustion detector including a filter that passes the pressure signal, of a set frequency band among the pressure signal, and detecting an occurrence of abnormal combustion based on the pressure signal having passed through the filter. The abnormal combustion detector sets a frequency band of the filter based on a crank angle section in which abnormal combustion occurs and on a mechanical compression ratio.

    摘要: An image forming apparatus includes the following elements. An apparatus body implements plural functions including an image reading function, an image forming function, and a display function in accordance with operations requested by a user. A controller controls first, second, and third power states. An obtaining unit obtains information concerning paper. A first control unit controls the plural functions so that, when the plural functions are returned from the third to the second power state, the display function is returned to the second power state without being synchronized with the other functions and an operation requested by the user is received before the other functions are returned to the second power state. A second control unit controls the other functions so that, if the image forming function is required for executing an operation requested by the user, the operation is executed after the obtaining unit obtains the information concerning paper.

The target detector detects a target subject from an effective pixel area of an image sensor. The readout area determiner defines a readout area within the effective pixel area, the readout area corresponding to a detected target. The readout processor reads out only pixel signals within the readout area. A partial area within the readout area is redefined as the readout area when the size of the original readout area is greater than a predetermined size.

    摘要: A high-accuracy matching result is obtained when a condition of a photographed input image differs from a condition of a photographed registration image. A face matching device including the registration face image, in which a person is photographed, and a photographing condition which corresponds to the registration face image are registered in a registration face image database. The face matching device includes a condition detecting unit, a registration face image selecting unit, and a matching unit. The condition detecting unit detects a photographing condition in the input face image which includes the photographed person. The registration face image selecting unit determines and selects the closest of the photographing condition from the input face image with the photographing conditions of the registration face images based on the determined closeness of the photographing condition. The matching unit performs matching using the registration face image corresponding to the selected photographing condition.
