摘要: A motorcycle with a low floor is configured such that secondary vibration of an engine can be largely reduced and an increase in engine width can be suppressed. The motorcycle with a low floor includes step floors on which to put a rider's feet on left and right sides of a vehicle body frame. An engine is provided between the step floors. A plurality of exhaust pipes extend respectively from cylinders of the engine, the exhaust pipes being gathered at a gathering portion. The engine is an in-line 3-cylinder engine having cylinder portions inclined forwardly. The exhaust pipes extend downwards from the cylinder portions on the basis of each cylinder. The exhaust pipes are bundled and extend on the right side of the engine, in a position on the lower side of one of the step floors.

摘要: A motortricycle with oscillation mechanism including left and right suspension arms respectively swingably mounted onto a vehicle body frame, rear wheels mounted respectively onto the outer portions of the left and right suspension arms. An oscillation mechanism permitting leftward and rightward oscillation of the vehicle body frame relative to the side of the suspension arms is provided between the suspension arms and the vehicle body frame, and an engine for driving the left and right rear wheels is mounted onto the vehicle body frame. Since the engine of the motortricycle is mounted on the vehicle body frame rather than on the suspension arms, weight on the suspension arms can be largely reduced, and the riding comfort can be further enhanced.

摘要: A noise reduction structure for a hybrid vehicle in which a cover covers at least part of an air intake system connected to an engine capable of giving power to a driving wheel, an exhaust muffler constituting part of an exhaust system connected to the engine, and an electric motor capable of giving power to the driving wheel. When at least part of the air intake system, the exhaust muffler constituting part of an exhaust system, and the electric motor is covered with the common cover, heat generated by the exhaust muffler is prevented from affecting the electric motor. The rotational axis of the electric motor extends in a longitudinal direction of a body frame and is disposed forwardly of the central position of the exhaust muffler extending in the longitudinal direction.

摘要: A twin clutch speed-change apparatus that can reduce shift shock includes a transmission with multiple gear pairs disposed between a main shaft and a countershaft. A twin clutch is provided on the main shaft, a rotational drive force from an engine being connected/disconnected between the transmission and the engine, a dog clutch is provided between an axially slidably attached slidable gear and an axially non-slidably attached non-slidable gear to select a gear pair, for transmitting a rotational drive force, from the multiple gear pairs. Dog teeth of the dog clutch include steps different in axial height from each other between a portion abutted against a lateral wall surface of a dog hole when the rotational drive force is transmitted by the dog clutch, and a portion abutted against a lateral wall surface of the dog hole when the rotational drive force is not transmitted by the dog clutch.

In the twin clutch type speed change control system designed to perform gear position changeovers between odd-ordinal gear positions and even-ordinal gear positions through a process in which an engaged clutch is disengaged whereas a disengaged clutch is engaged, the formerly disengaged clutch is supplied with a minute oil pressure P1 toward the clutch engaging side and is thereby preliminarily moved by a minute amount toward the clutch engaging side, at the time of changeover of the gear position.

When a roller chain starts to mesh with a sprocket, constricted portions at the centers of hourglass-shaped link plates of the roller chain can be pushed radially outwards from the sprocket by the projections of the resilient body, vibrations occurring at the roller chain meshing with the sprocket can be made small, vibrations at each part of the roller chain can be made small, collision speed when rollers of the roller chain collide with teeth bottoms of the sprockets can be reduced, and the generation of noise can be suppressed. Moreover, because hourglass-shaped link plates are used, the roller chain can be made lighter than when flat oval shaped or oval shaped link plates are used.

摘要: The effect of a windshield for a saddle-type vehicle such as a low-slung type of motorcycle or three-wheeled vehicle is enhanced, and pressure is sufficiently adjusted in an open space at the back of the windshield using an inventive windshield system. The vehicle includes a leg shield in front of legs of a rider, and a step space rearward of the leg shield. The windshield system includes a windshield which is provided with an air outlet that opens upward. An air inlet provided at the front of the vehicle communicates with the air outlet other through a duct, and the air outlet opens to the upper center of the windshield. Pressure adjusting outlets, for adjusting pressure in a space around the rider by blowing air toward the step space, are provided separately from the air outlet.
