    摘要: A modified luciferase protein which is a sensor for molecules including cAMP, cGMP, calcium, chelators thereof, kinases, or phosphatases is provided. Also provided is a circularly permuted anthozoan luciferase protein and a decapod crustacean luciferase protein, optionally containing one or more heterologous amino acid sequences, at least one of which directly or indirectly interacts with a molecule of interest. Further provided is a modified anthozoan luciferase protein and a decapod crustacean luciferase protein containing an insertion of one or more heterologous amino acid sequences, at least one of which directly or indirectly interacts with a molecule of interest.

    摘要: A gate bracket is formed of a planar web in which two rectangular portions along two edges of the web are bent to define a first pair of perpendicular flanges, and two other rectangular portions are bent from an inner portion of the web to form a second pair of perpendicular flanges. The flanges of the first pair are spaced from the flanges of the second pair by a distance corresponding to the dimensions of the structural members used to construct the gate. The invention provides a rigid bracket of simpler and lighter construction than prior art brackets.

    摘要: A ground stake for securing ropes or other fastening elements comprises a head portion with an elevated, textured surface and two or more extending flanges above a neck portion comprising recesses and a passageway. A plurality of elongated fins, at least a portion of which are tapered, depend from the base of the head portion and terminate in a truncated blunt end, providing a stronger tip while allowing clean penetration of the ground. One or more of the fins may comprise a stiffening rib to increase the rigidity of the fin. The elevated, textured surface provides increased impact resistance and prevents slippage of a pounding implement when the stake is being driven into the ground.

    摘要: A method for a predicting golfer's performance is disclosed herein. The method inputs the pre-impact swing properties of a golfer obtained from a CMOS imaging system, a plurality of mass properties of a first golf club, and a plurality of mass properties of a first golf ball into a rigid body code. Ball launch parameters are generated from the rigid body. The ball launch parameters, a plurality of atmospheric conditions and lift and drag properties of the golf ball are inputted into a trajectory code. This trajectory code is used to predict the performance of a golf ball if struck by the golfer with the golf club under the atmospheric conditions. The method can then predict the performance of the golf ball if struck by the golfer with a different golf club. The method and system of the present invention predict the performance of the golf ball without the golfer actually striking the golf ball.

    摘要: A post anchor for securing a support post for a structure comprises a base with four upstanding sidewalls forming a cavity into which a post is inserted, and means to secure the post inside the cavity. Interior ribs and exterior augmented corners resist deformation under pressure exerted by the post. Interior channels allow water to drain from inside the cavity toward a drain hole. The anchor post is slightly elevated relative to the ground, allowing air and water to circulate around the post and post anchor. The post anchor is made of a thermoplastic polymer which is given a textured surface, and may include an ultraviolet protection additive.
