Abstract:
The present invention relates to a dose setting mechanism for a drug delivery device and a method of using same. The mechanism comprises a drug delivery device housing, a dose dial sleeve positioned at least partly in the housing and being rotatable during dose setting and dose delivery, a clutch rotatable during dose setting and non-rotatable during dose delivery, and a clutch nut, that is threadedly engaged with the clutch and is splined to the housing to prevent rotation of the clutch nut.
Abstract:
A drug delivery device having a fixed dose setting mechanism with a biasing element. The drug delivery device includes a first dose setting mechanism, where the first dose setting mechanism is operably coupled to a primary reservoir holding a first medicament. The device also includes a dose setter operably coupled to the first dose setting mechanism. The device further includes second dose setting mechanism, where the second dose setting mechanism is operably coupled to a secondary reservoir holding a second medicament. The second dose setting mechanism is mechanically linked to the first dose setting mechanism, and the second dose setting mechanism includes a biasing element. The dose setter is configured to set a variable dose of the first medicament and automatically set a fixed dose of the second medicament upon activation. In addition, the biasing element is configured to assist with dispense of the second medicament.
Abstract:
A dose setting mechanism comprises a drug delivery device housing and a dual state track provided within the housing that is axially and rotationally fixed with respect to the housing. A dose dial component is positioned in the housing and rotatable during dose setting and dose delivery. A clutch is rotatable during dose setting and non-rotatable during dose delivery. A clutch plate is rotationally fixed relative to the housing; and a clutch blocker is in threaded engagement with the clutch plate and has a radial key engaged with the dual state track. The mechanism may comprise a biasing member positioned between the clutch blocker and clutch plate.

Abstract:
A computerized electro-mechanical drug delivery device configured to deliver at least one dose of two or more medicaments. The device comprises a control unit. An electro-mechanical drive unit is operably coupled to the control unit and a primary reservoir for a first medicament and a secondary reservoir for a fluid agent, e.g. a second medicament. An operator interface is in communication with the control unit. A single dispense assembly is configured for fluid communication with the primary and the secondary reservoir. Activation of the operator panel sets a first dose from the primary reservoir and based on the first dose and a therapeutic dose profile, the control unit is configured to determine a dose or range of the fluid agent. Alternatively, the control unit determines or calculates a dose or range of a third medicament. Further, a dispense interface for use with a drug delivery device is disclosed.
Abstract:
A drug delivery device having a spring element that provides dispense assistance. The drug delivery device includes a variable dose setting mechanism, a fixed dose setting mechanism, and a mechanical coupling having a spring element. The variable dose setting mechanism is operably coupled to a first reservoir holding a first medicament, and the variable dose setting mechanism comprises a dose setter. The fixed dose setting mechanism is operably coupled to a second reservoir holding a second medicament. The mechanical coupling operably couples the variable dose setting mechanism and the fixed dose setting mechanism. Further, the variable dose setting mechanism is configured to set a variable dose of the first medicament upon activation of the dose setter, and the fixed dose setting mechanism is configured to set a fixed dose of the second medicament during variable dose setting. Still further, the spring element is configured to store energy during dose setting and to transfer stored energy to the fixed dose setting mechanism to assist with dispense of the fixed dose.
Abstract:
A drug delivery device for co-delivery of two medicaments. The drug delivery device has a dose setter, a first dose dial component, a second dose dial component, and a collar. The first dose dial component is configured to select a first dose of a first medicament, and the first dose dial component is operably connected to the dose setter. The second dose dial component is configured to select a second dose of a second medicament. In addition, the first dose dial component and the second dose dial component are connected to the collar. The collar is configured to be moved in a proximal direction by actuation of the dose setter. Further, when the collar is moved in a proximal direction, the first dose dial component and the second dose dial component are configured to move proximally to set a dose “A” for the first medicament with the first dose dial component and set a dose “B” for the second medicament with the second dose dial component.
Abstract:
A dose setting mechanism for a drug delivery device is provided comprising a dose setting member and a further element. Maximum dose stop features are provided on a housing and on the further element.
Abstract:
An injection system for co-delivery of two medicaments (1, 2) having a drug delivery device (7) containing a primary reservoir (11) containing a first medicament (1) and having a secondary reservoir (5, 17, 30) containing a second medicament (2) where the drug delivery device (7) has only one dose setter (12) for the primary reservoir (11) and that automatically determines the dose of the second medicament (2). Both medicaments (1, 2) are delivered through a single dispense interface (3, 16, 21, 31).
