Abstract:
A method and system for delivering a user-settable dose of a first medicament and a non-user settable dose of a second medicament through a single dose setter and a single dispense interface. The drug delivery system includes a drug delivery device and a medicated module. The drug delivery device comprises a single dose setter operably connected to a primary reservoir containing the first medicament. The medicated module comprises (i) a collapsible feature holding the second medicament and (ii) the single dispense interface having an output needle. Further, the drug delivery device and medicated module are each configured such that the single dose setter is mechanically linked to the collapsible feature after attachment of the medicated module to the drug delivery device.
Abstract:
A detergent dispensing cap for pre-treating a stained fabric. The cap can have a pour volume sized and dimensioned to provide for a unit dose of the detergent composition. A portion of the cap can be provided with surface irregularities for scrubbing a stain.
Abstract:
A method and system for sequentially dispensing a non-user settable dose of one medicament followed by a user-settable dose of a primary medicament. A medicated module may be attachable to a drug delivery device and the drug delivery device may have a drug reservoir holding a first medicament. The medicated module includes a first needle, a second needle, a deformable membrane, and a second medicament. The deformable membrane facilitates sequential dosing of the second medicament followed by the first medicament. After the medicated module is attached to the drug delivery device, (i) the first needle is in fluid communication with the drug reservoir and (ii) the deformable membrane prevents fluid communication between the first and second needle. The deformable membrane prevents fluid communication between the first and second needle until substantially all of the second medicament is dispensed.
Abstract:
A reservoir (31) with at least one flexible section for use in a medicated module (4) for an injection system to co-deliver at least two medicaments is disclosed where a primary delivery device (7) containing a first medicament accepts a medicated module (4) containing a single dose of a second medicament (2) and where both medicaments are delivered through a single hollow needle (3). The reservoir (31) comprises one or more slit valves (44, 45) to allow for delivery of the first and second medicaments. The medicated module (4) also contains a needle guard (22) that engages a housing (43) of the reservoir (31) to open the slit valves (44, 45).
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a drug delivery (5) comprising a housing (10) with a proximal end (28) and a distal end (22), a cartridge holder (14) adapted to retain a cartridge, the cartridge holder (14) being secured to the housing (10) and having an at least partially transparent side wall, and a cap (40) being capable of covering the distal end (22) of the drug delivery device, the cap (40) being rotationally free movable with respect to the housing (10) and comprising a window aperture (44), the window aperture (44) being capable of displaying information revealed by the cartridge holder (14). Furthermore, using a cap (40) for covering the distal end (22) of the drug delivery device (5) is disclosed.
Abstract:
A simulation device for simulating the operation of a medication delivery device comprises a housing (1) and a moveable element (4) partly disposed in the housing (1). The moveable element is moveable from a first position to a second position.
Abstract:
A transportable projection-based simulator is expanded on one or both sides. Bowl-like screen assemblies partially surround a mock cabin within the simulator. A combination of projectors and mirrors reflect images of a virtual landscape onto the screen assemblies. A trainee within the mock cabin can lean out of the mock cabin and look down at the image of the virtual landscape projected onto the portion of the screen assembly below without interfering with the projection of that image.
