摘要: An electronic device operation method and apparatus. A current state of a device such as TVs or VCRs is indicated as a graphic moving picture of a familiar character shape. Pictures containing an associated character shape are stored in correspondence with a various states of the electronic device. The pictures are formed of fonts each of which has a predetermined magnitude and corresponds to a block of the picture. One or more fonts are read during the time of shifting a device state according to a user key input, and the fonts are changed at time intervals to display a moving picture. A sound corresponding to the moving picture may be output together with the displayed moving picture, to further enhance the device state indication. Thus, a current state of the electronic device is more recognized by persons who do not read characters.

摘要: A vehicle hatch dismantling device adapted to firmly secure a hatch for opening and closing an opening at a vehicle roof for ventilation during normal times, and enabling the dismantling of the hatch during emergencies such as during overturn or submergence of the vehicle, while preventing breakage of the hatch even if the hatch is frequently dismantled for maintenance thereof. The device has a hatch sizeably formed to cover the vehicle roof opening, a first bracket underneath the hatch for vertically moving the hatch, a hinge link mechanism linked to the first bracket, and a second bracket fixed to an inner wall surface surrounding the opening. The device includes a lever rotably supported at one side thereof to the first bracket and has a coupling hole. The device also includes a rod coupled to the coupling hole of the lever, and an intermittent support unit coupled to the first bracket for intermittently coupling first bracket with the hatch.

摘要: A retainer device is provided suitable for supporting a valve shaft in a variable intake system. Preferred retainer devices can stably support a valve shaft of a variable intake system and may suitably include a shaft support part that can engage a valve shaft of the variable intake system; a fork part that can engage a valve shaft locking bolt; and a stop part spaced from the fork part by a distance sufficient to position the locking bolt between the fork part and the stop part. In preferred systems, even if a valve shaft locking bolt fastening the valve shaft is undesirably loosened during engine operation, the locking bolt is prevented from being completely removed from the retainer, thereby avoiding potential engine damage.
