摘要: A method for producing a microbial oil includes genetically modifying a labyrinthulid which belongs to the genus Parietichytrium or the genus Schizochytrium by disrupting and/or silencing a Δ4 desaturase gene, a C20 elongase gene, and/or a C18 elongase gene, or by being transformed with an ω3 desaturase gene; culturing the labyrinthulid; and collecting the microbial oil from the labyrinthulid. The labyrinthulid has an activity of synthesizing DHA via a PUFA-PKS pathway in an amount of not more than 1/100 of a total amount of DHA synthesized in the labyrinthulid or no activity of producing PUFAs via the PUFA-PKS pathway, and the labyrinthulid has an activity of producing PUFAs via an endogenous elongase-desaturase pathway.

摘要: Provided is a method of producing a feed or food product in which an inner layer is encrusted with a gelled outer layer composition, the method including the steps of: preparing an outer layer composition feedstock by adding a secondary feedstock to a protein feedstock and/or a starch feedstock that forms a gel upon heating and then mixing by stirring, and preparing an inner layer composition that is encrusted with the outer layer composition; extrusion molding with an extruder provided with a double nozzle so as to cover a surface of the inner layer composition while simultaneously gelling the outer layer composition feedstock by heat treatment; and cutting a continuously extruded cylindrically shaped product to a fixed length with a shutter mechanism while simultaneously encrusting a cut surface with the gelled outer layer composition.

摘要: The present invention provides a method of producing a composition containing docosahexaenoic acid as a constituent fatty acid of glycerides, comprising hydrolyzing a feedstock oil containing glycerides comprising docosahexaenoic acid as a constituent fatty acid by action of a first lipase and a second lipase, thereby increasing the proportion of docosahexaenoic acid in glyceride fractions, wherein the first lipase is at least one lipase selected from the group consisting of a lipase derived from a microorganism of the genus Thermomyces, a lipase derived from a microorganism of the genus Pseudomonas, a lipase derived from a microorganism of the genus Burkholderia, and a lipase derived from a microorganism of the genus Alcaligenes, and wherein the second lipase is a partial glyceride lipase.

摘要: Provided is a free-polyunsaturated-fatty-acid-containing composition that has a total metal content of 0.1 ppm or less and that comprises at least one free polyunsaturated fatty acid having 20 or more carbon atoms, in an amount that is at least 80.0% of the amount of fatty acids in the composition; and a method for manufacturing a free-polyunsaturated-fatty-acid-containing composition, comprising: providing a raw material composition containing at least one polyunsaturated fatty acid having 20 or more carbon atoms; performing a hydrolysis treatment on a reaction solution prepared by combining the provided raw material composition, a lower alcohol, water having a total metal content of 0.01 ppm or less, and an alkali catalyst; and limiting the contact between the reaction composition and the metal after the hydrolysis treatment so that the product T [cm2×days] of the contact surface area [cm2] per 1 g and the contact time [days] between the composition and the metal is 100 or less.

摘要: A microbial oil comprising dihomo-γ-linolenic acid as a constituent fatty acid of an oil, the microbial oil has a content, in terms of a weight ratio of arachidonic acid relative to dihomo-γ-linolenic acid (arachidonic acid/dihomo-γ-linolenic acid) of less than 1/13. Preferably, the microbial oil has a triglyceride content of greater than or equal to 70% by weight, and a saturated fatty acid content of less than or equal to 40% by weight. Moreover, a lower alcohol ester of dihomo-γ-linolenic acid or a free fatty acid of dihomo-γ-linolenic acid obtained from the microbial oil is provided.
