    Abstract: A localization device for visually determining the location of a vehicle includes a camera unit for capturing image data and a control unit. The control unit is configured to recognize at least one landmark in the captured image data and to determine a quality value for each landmark. The determination of the quality value involves multiple recognitions of the particular landmark. In addition, multiple quality values for one landmark can be determined for different observation positions or observation directions. The control unit is further configured to adjust the quality value of a landmark already contained in a map, based on a new recognition by the localization device. The control unit is configured to determine the position of the localization device based on the recognized landmarks in conjunction with the map. The control unit is further configured to determine the position of landmarks in relation to a global coordinate system.

    Abstract: A method for predicting a value representative of a quality of connection of a vehicle to a cellular network from a target location on a road network including: training a prediction model on the basis of a determined characteristic of propagation between an access point and the position of a training vehicle and on the basis of a value representative of a quality of the connection of the vehicle to said access point; and predicting a second value representative of a quality of connection to a cellular network at the target location on a road network on the basis of a second characteristic of propagation of a radio signal between the target location and an identified target access point by applying the trained model.

    Abstract: There is provided an electronic device comprising: an input-output management device configured to manage input-output connections; and a microcontroller communicatively connected to the input-output management device, wherein the microcontroller is configured to perform an initialization phase after a trigger is received from an input-output connection to wake the electronic device from a powered down state, the initialization phase comprising: obtaining, from the input-output management device, wake-up statuses of the input-output connections managed by the input-output management device; and storing the statuses in a memory of the microcontroller; wherein the microcontroller is further configured to perform an operation phase after the initialization phase, the operation phase comprising: transmitting a wake-up confirmation message to the input-output connection with a positive wake-up status. There is also provided a method of responding to a trigger to wake an electronic device from a powered down state.
