    Abstract: A bilaterally driven drug infusion system, includes: an infusion unit, including a drug storage unit; a piston and a driving wheel respectively connected with a screw, the driving wheel, provided with wheel teeth, driving the screw movement by rotation, the piston arranged in the drug storage unit, the screw advancing the piston to move; a driving unit, cooperated with the driving wheel; a power unit, connected to the driving unit; a control unit, controlling the driving unit to output forces in two different directions on the driving unit; and sensing unit, operatively connected to the control unit and used to sense or recognize the user's body movements, and different body movements represent different functional instructions, and according to the body movement sensed or recognized by the sensing unit, the control unit controlling the infusion unit to execute corresponding functional instructions.

    Abstract: A syringe pump can be operated to produce fluid flow from a syringe installed therein. Features of the pump can produce a desired rapid commencement of flow followed by smooth delivery uninterrupted by stiction-induced slowing and acceleration. A stiff drivetrain can facilitate detection of excessive forces indicative of friction at a stopper-wall interface. The motor drive, gearing, and control parameters can enable customized acceleration patterns to determine optimal initial stage advancement to provide fluid delivery. These patterns can minimize or eliminate the delay in commencement of flow by overcoming both mechanical slack remaining and syringe stopper slack. To avoid flow irregularities produced by stiction forces in the stopper further, a mechanical vibration can be provided to the syringe and/or barrel to introduce movement of the stopper-wall interface, reducing the creation of high static friction coefficients.

    Abstract: An apparatus (300) for suspending air bubbles in a fluid path of a fluid injector system includes an internal chamber (320) having a curved interior wall (322) defined within the housing (310), an inlet fluid pathway in fluid communication with the internal chamber, and an outlet fluid pathway in fluid communication with the internal chamber. The inlet fluid pathway extending into the chamber at a tangent to the curved interior wall, and the outlet fluid pathway spaced from the inlet fluid pathway such that fluid flowing into the internal chamber via the inlet fluid pathway is directed away from the outlet fluid pathway. The internal chamber is configured to create an internal fluid vortex in an injection fluid entering the internal chamber from the inlet fluid pathway, and wherein the internal fluid vortex at least temporarily suspends air bubbles in the fluid in the internal vortex and delays the passage of the air bubbles to the outlet fluid pathway.

    Abstract: A medication infusion device includes a pre-filled medication container containing sterile liquid medication. The medication infusion device also includes an infusion needle and the infusion needle has a distal end, wherein the distal end of the infusion needle is movable relative to the pre-filled medication container. There is a pierceable elastomeric component arranged at the distal end of the infusion needle to define a sterile environment, and this sterile environment is shared by the pre-filled medication container and the distal end of the infusion needle. The distal end of the infusion needle is embedded in a pierceable elastomeric component in order to keep the infusion needle enclosed in the sterile environment and prevent medication from flowing out of the infusion needle.
