Abstract:
A mineral composition comprising mineral particles, said mineral particles, when in a densely compacted bed form, having a volume defined median pore diameter from 0.01 to 0.04 micrometre, and having an intruded total specific void volume of 0.1-0.3 cm3/g. A specific advantage of this composition is that it as a component in a coating, allows the passage of ink solvent into the base paper while retaining the ink molecules on the surface.
Abstract:
A mobile apparatus for comminuting lumpy material, especially rock, includes a chassis, a crusher arranged on the chassis, a feed device, provided on the chassis, for the lumpy material to be fed to the crusher and comminuted, a removal conveying device having a sieve device for the material comminuted by the crusher and a return conveying device for returning material held back by the sieve device to the feed device. In order to ensure heap separation of comminuted material of different grain sizes despite high crushing throughput, one conveying section of the return conveying device including at least two conveying sections is secured to the device by at least one rotational joint such that it can be turned away from the feed device.
Abstract:
Classifier (10, 100, 200) which is configured to classify air-entrained, crushed particulate material received from a pulveriser into a fine fraction which is expelled from the classifier (10) and a coarse fraction which is returned to the pulveriser for further crushing. The classifier (10) includes a plurality of adjustable inlet blades (37) which are arranged partially above an inlet (20) leading into a classification zone (19), an angle of the blades (37) being adjustable through manipulation of a blade adjustment mechanism (39) in order to optimise particle flow conditions inside the classifier (10). Furthermore, the classifier (10) includes a plurality of inclined pre-swirl vanes (47) which are disposed below the inlet blades (37), each vane (47) having a curved body. The classifier (100) includes a part conical member (102) which is suspended below an operatively upper exit (31) leading from the classification zone (19).
Abstract:
A rotary mill for grinding recycled glass materials into particles has a housing defining an impact chamber with a rotor in the chamber at the bottom of an inclined guide wall underneath the feed opening. The rotor has a plurality of axially extending, angularly spaced massive impact hammers so that the impact hammers impact and deflect the solid materials onto a plurality of shatter bars located at the peripheral wall. Each of the impact hammers has a leading blade element of a hardened steel which has a front face inclined relative to a bottom portion of the guide surface so that an outer edge of the front face is angularly advanced relative to an inner edge thereof.
Abstract:
A biomass conditioning system and method, the system comprising a chamber and an airflow loop, the chamber comprising a lower part adapted to receive biomass and comprising grinding elements, cutting elements and an air input, an airflow from the air input and rotation of the elements creating an uplifting; and an upper part comprising an inner chamber generally centered within an outer chamber, the outer chamber comprising a first outlet and the inner chamber comprising a second outlet; and a flange selectively connecting the lower part with the inner chamber and the lower part with the outer chamber; and the airflow loop comprising a source of input air in the lower part, a first exhaust connected to the first outlet and evacuating air and biomass particles from the inner chamber, and a second exhaust connected to the second outlet and evacuating mist and air from the outer chamber; in which the flange diverts, from the uplifting vortex and under action of a vacuum created between the air input and the second outlet, a water particle flow to the first outlet of the outer chamber and a biomass particles flow towards the inner chamber; light biomass particles being propelled up the inner chamber the second outlet.
Abstract:
A crushing drying device includes an object-to-be-treated supply port from which an object is supplied into a main body, a crushing portion for crushing the object by hammers rotated on a drive shaft, and a classifying portion having a space for circulating the object to be treated at a position away from the crushing portion, the crushing portion has a dry gas supply port from which the heated air is supplied in a predetermined direction along an inner surface of the device main body, and the classifying portion has discharge portions from which the crushed object is discharged together with the heated air, and deviation plates for changing a flow of the object transferred to the classifying portion, so that the crushing drying device is one machine.

Abstract:
Calcium carbonate particles having very narrow particle sizes with a controlled D98 and minimal ultrafines (very small particles) are described. The particles are prepared by grinding a feedstock in a centrifugal grinding mill, which utilizes very high centrifugal forces to impact the particles with each other or grinding media.
Abstract:
Methods and protocols of harvesting and processing of Porifera species, specifically sponges, and more specifically fresh water species of Genus Spongilla; testing and storing of the processed Spongilla powder; and manufacturing and packaging of Spongilla-based therapeutic compositions for treating and preventing skin diseases are disclosed. Treatable skin conditions and diseases include without limitation acne vulgaris, rosacea, seborrheic dermatitis, psoriasis, photo-aging and actinic keratosis, acne vulgaris, psoriasis, photo-aging, wounds, scars, and eczema (atopic dermatitis).
Abstract:
Provided is a vertical-type mill whereby abrasion of a hopper and accumulation of coarse particles in the hopper can both be prevented. A vertical-type mill provided with a milling mechanism for milling a material to be milled and obtaining solid particles by meshing of a milling roller or milling ball and a milling table, a classification mechanism having a classifier for classifying milled solid particles and a hopper (11) for collecting coarse particles that are classified by the classifier and dropped downward and leading the coarse particles toward the milling mechanism, a raw material feeding pipe (1) for charging the material to be milled into the milling table, and housings (43a, b), wherein the raw material feeding pipe is provided in the hopper so that the relationship 0.15≦L′/L≦0.5 is satisfied, where, using the boundary line between a cylindrical part of the hopper and an inverted conical part of the hopper as a reference position, L is the distance from the reference position to the top end of the hopper, and L′ is the distance from the reference position to the bottom end (1a) of the raw material feeding pipe.
