摘要: Aspects of the present disclosure relate to differentiating between active and inactive construction zones. In one example, this may include identifying a construction object associated with a construction zone. The identified construction object may be used to map the area of the construction zone. Detailed map information may then be used to classify the activity of the construction zone. The area of the construction zone and the classification may be added to the detailed map information. Subsequent to adding the construction zone and the classification to the detailed map information, the construction object (or another construction object) may be identified. The location of the construction object may be used to identify the construction zone and classification from the detailed map information. The classification of the classification may be used to operate a vehicle having an autonomous mode.

摘要: A method and system for calculating an energy efficient route is disclosed. A route calculation application calculates one or more routes from an origin to a destination. For each of the routes, the route calculation application uses impedance factor data associated with each segment in the route. The impedance factor is calculated using probe data when the probe data is available for a road segment. When probe data is unavailable, the impedance factor is calculated using machine learning techniques that analyze the results of the impedance factor classifications for road segments having probe data.

摘要: A method for automatically adapting vehicle lighting to the surrounding area of the vehicle is provided. According to the method, an image of an illuminated surrounding area of the vehicle is acquired. It is determined whether a road sign is present in the surrounding area of the vehicle. Once the position of the road sign has been determined, a light emitted by the lighting device of the vehicle is changed in the direction of the determined position of the road sign so as to reduce the reflection of the emitted light from the road sign.

摘要: A signal generator for highlighting objects in road traffic, including a marker and a carrier material. The marker is arranged on the carrier material in such a manner that the marker covers one surface side of the carrier material and/or is added to a substance of the carrier material. The signal transmitter reflects incident electromagnetic radiation of at least one predeterminable wavelength band by the marker. A spectral width and a spectral position of the at least one predeterminable wavelength band are distinguished by a size and/or a size distribution and/or a shape of nanoparticles contained in the marker and/or by a surface nanostructuring of the marker. The spectral position of the at least one predeterminable wavelength band is located in an infrared spectral range. The invention further relates to a corresponding system, a corresponding method, the use of the signal generator, and the use of the system.

The camera includes a two dimensional imaging array of a plurality of photosensing pixels and is operable to capture image data. A control includes an image processor that is operable to process image data captured by the camera. The image processor, responsive at least in part to processing of captured image data, is operable to determine road signs ahead of the vehicle, and the image processor uses a matrix algorithm for determining road signs along the road and for determining road sign information for displaying to the driver of the vehicle. The road signs may include speed limit signs and the control may, responsive at least in part to a determination of weather conditions, determine the appropriate speed limit to display to the driver.

摘要: A speed limit assistant (SLA) system includes a camera based SLA, a map based SLA, and a fusion unit. The camera based SLA is configured to determine a first set of probabilities for an input image, wherein the probabilities indicate how likely the image includes a discrete set of speed limit signs. The map based SLA is configured to determine a second set of probabilities for an input coordinate, wherein the probabilities indicate how likely the coordinate is to correspond to one of a discrete set of speed limits. The fusion unit is configured to perform a Bayesian fusion on the first and second set of probabilities to determine a final speed limit from the discrete set of speed limits.
