    摘要: The invention relates to an emission control system for removing environmentally harmful and/or toxic gases or vapors, comprising a reaction chamber which is connected to a plasma source, whereby plasma is formed in said reaction chamber by injecting excitation energy, and the reaction chamber and/or the plasma source has at least one inlet for the introduction of gases or vapors and one outlet for the gases or vapors which are treated in the plasma source and/or reaction chamber. According to the invention, the outlet of the reaction chamber is connected to a liquid jet pump which produces a low pressure in the reaction chamber and in the plasma source. The waste gases with the plasma or the waste gases which are treated by excited particles are jointly conducted along with the liquid which is circulated through the liquid jet pump, mixed therewith and discharged from said reaction chamber.

    摘要: This invention provides a method for processing perfluorocompounds exhaust, that employs thermal energy produced by the reactions occurred in a plasma reactor to convert liquid water into steam. The steam is then directly introduced into the plasma reactor to participate in the reactions of plasma stream. This invention resolves the high temperature problem encountered by the reaction chamber during combustion. In addition, this invention is provided with a combustion chamber connecting to the reacting chamber. Air is introduced into the combustion chamber to combust with hydrogen so as to remove a great mount of hydrogen produced by the combustion of the perfluorocompounds exhaust.

    摘要: An apparatus and method for treating the off-gas byproduct of a waste treatment system using a plasma torch. The off-gas of a graphite electrode plasma arc furnace includes carbon black or soot which must be removed. The plasma torch employs a carbon dioxide and oxygen mixture as a working gas to avoid the creation of nitrogen oxides and other toxic by-products. The plasma torch ionizes the working gas, resulting in the creation of carbon monoxide and reactive oxygen, which assists in eliminating carbon black/soot from the off-gas. Oxygen and steam are atomized and injected into the chamber housing the plasma torch system. A process control feedback system monitors the content of the output gas and controls the operation of the injectors and the plasma torch.

    摘要: A cell arrangement for the electrolysis of water to liberate hydrogen and oxygen gases is described. A cell unit (125) has a stacked arrangement of segmentation disks (114), a first type of (anode) cell plates (90), a second type of (cathode) cell plates (98) and separation membranes (116). Interconnecting conductive shafts (126-131) pass through holes (100,102) of the cell plates (90,98) to have selective electrical interconnection therewith. Water and electrolyte is supplied by inlet ports (108,110) to immerse the cell plates (90,98). The membranes (116) normally isolate adjacent cathode and anode plates (90,98) from the mixing of liberated oxygen and hydrogen gases whilst allowing ionic current flow. By selective adjustment of the water/electrolyte pressure differential on respective sides of the separation membranes (116), admixture of the liberated gases can be produced. The liberated gases discharge by outlet ports (104,106).
