Abstract:
A manufacturing method for EVA foam cushion with surface plastic film, including steps of: discharge treatment of plastic film: applying discharge treatment to inner face of a transparent plastic film to form a rough face on the inner face of the plastic film for enhancing the adhesion; printing: printing an ink layer on the rough face; and gluing and adhering: painting a glue onto the other face of the ink layer or the surface of the EVA foam cushion and then thermally pressing and adhering the plastic film to the surface of the EVA foam cushion.
Abstract:
A process for continuously applying an external coating along a predetermined region of a pipe, said process comprising the steps of heating the pipe along said predetermined region, applying a heated strip of coating material along said predetermined region, adhering the applied strip of heated coating material onto underlying pipe, and causing or allowing the pipe and coating material to cool substantially to ambient temperature.
Abstract:
A method of advertising on a bowling lane wherein the bowling lane consists of an approach area, a pin deck end area and a lane area extending between the approach area and the pin deck area. A generally transparent overlay structure overlies at least a portion of one of the approach area, the pin deck area and the lane area of the base member, wherein the overlay structure consists of a core layer, a decorative layer, and a wear layer. The overlay structure includes printed indicia that are visible through the overlay structure and protected thereby.
Abstract:
A glow-in-the-dark bowling game includes an enclosure with ambient lighting normally illuminating the same, and at least one bowling lane. A UV sensitive dye or pigment is incorporated into at least a portion of the upper surface of the bowling lane. A UV light source is positioned generally above the bowling lane, and is selectively operable for directing UV light onto the upper surface of the bowling lane. To play the glow-in-the-dark bowling game, the ambient lighting is dimmed or turned off, and the UV light source is turned on, causing the UV sensitive dye or pigment to emit visible light.

Abstract:
This invention relates to window films and more particularly to a process for installing window films in such a manner that haze is eliminated and the bond strength between the film and a substrate is enhanced. The window film application process of this invention is concerned with the application of a mounting solution to the window prior to applying the film to the window. The solutions used in this invention are solutions of metal salts of polymeric low molecular weight organic acids. Solutions of the sodium salt of polyacrylic acids are preferred for use in this invention. The concentrations of the low molecular weight organic acid can be from about 1 to about 33 weight percent.
Abstract:
A protective and decorative sheet material, such as a paint-coated film, which is bonded by an adhesive layer and vacuum thermoforming to a substrate, can develop surface roughness when exposed to heat for extended periods of time. This defect is unexpectedly reduced or eliminated by raising the surface energy of the substrate and roughening the surface of the substrate within certain limits, prior to application of the sheet material.
Abstract:
The invention provides a method of forming composite products of two incompatible plastics or other materials by extruding a first stream of plastic through a die to form a profile and coextruding another stream on the surface thereof which is fusible with the first plastic and is impregnated with foreign matter and causing, by means of high heat, pressure drop or shear stress, a rupture of the layer to form a pattern of irregular cavities and projections to which a coating can be applied which will invade the cavities and surround the projections to bond with the extruded profile.
Abstract:
A polyester hose is provided including a process for the preparation thereof. In the process, a polyester tubing is contacted with a solution of a selected organic material and the treated tubing is then reinforced with a synthetic or natural fiber followed by subjecting the reinforced tubing to an elevated temperature of at least about 150*F.
Abstract:
A polyamide hose is provided including a process for the process for the preparation thereof. In the process, a polyamide tubing is contacted with a solution of an organic material possessing specified characteristics and the treated tubing is then reinforced with at least one layer of a synthetic or natural fiber followed by subjecting the reinforced tubing to an elevated temperature of at least about 150* F.
