摘要： A method of betting on a pin based game includes the making of a first bet by placement of money or a substitute for money on a first position of a betting mat or by a digital mat on a graphical user interface, the first bet corresponding to a first player performance metric of a player in the pin based game. The player then throws at least one throw of a ball at a pin arrangement having at least one standing pin in attempt to knock down the at least one pin. The first bet plus a premium are returned based upon the first player performance metric being achieved. The premium is defined by premium odds that is based in part on the probability. A system for betting on a pin based game includes a pin associated with a sensor, a computer, a graphical user interface, and a betting mat.

摘要： An automated system is provided for scoring and tracking pin position and pin placement, gameplay, and playing time during games of FOWLING™. A modified pin with a radio frequency identification (RFID) tag affixed to or implanted in the pin provides tracking of individual pins during gameplay. A RFID reader is used to poll the set of pins on the platform to determine when a pin has left a set position. A processor controls the RFID tag reader and a clock so as to track pin position versus time. A pin position array is used in conjunction with conductive or magnetic disks on the bottom portion or surface of the pin for tracking pin position, pin placement, and gameplay. The conductive or magnetic disks complete circuit junctions in the array that confirm the presence of a standing pin and when a pin has been dislodged and presumably toppled over.

摘要： A magnetically responsive bowling pin having a first upwardly open cavity in its head portion and a second elongated cavity smaller and cross-section and extending downwardly in the head portion of a bowling pin. The first cavity receives a plastic cap having a top portion and a skirt with a permanent magnet and a plastic plug disposed in press fit engagement within the skirt. The skirt in turn is in press fit engagement with the wall of the first cavity to retain the assembled magnet and plastic parts in the desired position in the cavity. The second elongated cavity serves to remove material from the body of the bowling pin and thus compensates for the added weight of the permanent magnet and the slight additional weight of the plastic cap and plastic plug. As a result, the desired weight, weight distribution and balance of the bowling pin is not disturbed. In a second embodiment, the plastic cap has a through opening accessible upwardly and a small steel cap is mounted within the plastic cap and is exposed upwardly through the opening. The cap is also in engagement with the permanent magnet and results in enhancement of the magnetic forces.

The shell is initially produced as a whole body in a mold. While the material of the shell is not yet hardened and is still deformable, an insert is introduced into the narrowed neck portion of the shell, in a direction axial relative thereto, in such a way that the insert displaces an inner layer of the shell, dividing the hollow interior of the shell into an upper and a lower chamber and producing a fixed connection with the material of the shell. Material for the core, with such material being provided with an expanding agent, is then introduced into the shell, and after the shell and the core have set, the mold is removed.
