Abstract:
A method of transmitting basic service set (BSS) load information. The method according to one embodiment includes establishing, by an access point (AP), an association with at least one very high throughput (VHT) station that has successfully synchronized with the AP and that has a capability of receiving at least one spatial stream of a plurality of spatial streams transmitted via a multi user-multiple input multiple output (MU-MIMO) transmission; and broadcasting, by the AP, a beacon frame that includes load information including a station count field and an antenna utilization field. The station count field indicates a number of the at least one VHT station that has successfully synchronized with the AP and that has the capability of receiving at least one spatial stream of the plurality of spatial streams. The antenna utilization field indicates information about spatial streams that are under-utilized in the MU-MIMO transmission.
Abstract:
A method and a radio apparatus for signal transmission in a Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) system are discussed. The method according to an embodiment includes generating first and second very high throughput (VHT) fields including first and second control information, respectively; and transmitting a physical layer protocol data unit (PPDU) including the first and second VHT fields to at least one target station. The first VHT field includes an indicator indicating whether the PPDU is to be transmitted by using a single-user multiple input multiple output (SU-MIMO) scheme or a multi-user multiple input multiple output (MU-MIMO) scheme.
Abstract:
A communication method that includes transmitting a power save multi-poll (PSMP) frame containing a power save mode (PSM) of a non-access point (AP) station (STA) to a first station and to a second station which are paired with an AP on the basis of multiple input multiple output (MIMO) technology. Information on the PSM indicates the point in time of starting a downlink transmission period, the duration of the downlink transmission period, and transmission object station identification information. The method further involves transmitting a data frame to the first station and to the second station on the basis of the MIMO technology during the downlink transmission period. The transmission object station identification information indicates a group identifier for indicating an object station group including the first station and the second station.

Provided is a method for receiving a frame, which is to be performed by a station (STA) in a wireless LAN system. The method includes receiving a multicast frame from an access point (AP). The multicast frame includes a medium access control (MAC) header. The MAC header includes a transmitter address (TA) field and a receiver address (RA) field. The RA field includes a multicast association identifier for identifying an STA group including said STA.
Abstract:
A method of transmitting a packet in a wireless local area network system. The method is performed by a transmitting station and includes generating a packet including at least one spatial stream and first control information including a first field and a second field, and transmitting the packet to at least one receiving station. The first field indicates a group ID of the at least one receiving station and whether the packet is generated based on a single user transmission scheme or a multi user transmission scheme. Content of the second field is determined based on whether the packet is generated based on the single user transmission scheme or the multi user transmission scheme, the second field indicates a modulation and coding scheme (MCS) index used for the packet if the packet is generated based on the single user transmission, and the second field indicates an encoding scheme applied to the at least one receiving station if the packet is generated based on the multi user transmission scheme.
Abstract:
Provided is a method for transceiving data in a wireless LAN system on the basis of station (STA)-based service period scheduling. The method comprises entering an awake state, configuring a service period for transceiving an access point (AP) and data, transceiving the AP and the data during the service period, and entering a doze state when the service period ends.
Abstract:
Provided is a communication method by a station (STA) that operates in a power safe mode in a wireless LAN system. The method comprises: transmitting a probe request frame to an access point (AP), wherein the probe request frame includes system information identification information for identifying system information acquired by the STA; and receiving a probe response frame as a response to the probe request frame from the AP. The probe response frame includes a time stamp value related to the point of time of transmitting the probe response frame, and if it is determined, based on the system information identification information, that updated information which is not included in said acquired system information exists, the probe response frame further includes said updated information. Also provided is a communication method by an access point (AP) in a wireless LAN system. The method comprises: receiving a probe request frame from a station (STA), wherein the probe request frame includes information related to a wake-up duration time that is a time period in which the STA operates in an awake state; and transmitting a probe response frame to the STA as a response to the probe request frame. The probe response frame is transmitted within said wake-up duration time.
Abstract:
A method of operating in a wireless local area network system is provided. The method includes receiving a channel usage response from an access point, the channel usage response comprising channel usage information and transmit power regulation information, the channel usage information being for coexistence with an infrastructure network, and operating by using the channel usage information. The channel usage information includes at least one channel entry field indicating at least one recommended channel and a usage mode field indicating usage of the at least one recommended channel listed in the at least one channel entry field. The transmit power regulation information includes a plurality of maximum transmit power fields. Each of maximum transmit power field specifies a maximum transmit power limit for transmission on a corresponding channel bandwidth.
Abstract:
A method for a channel sounding in a wireless local area network. A station receives a 20 MHz null data packet announcement (NDPA) frame and at least one duplicate 20 MHz NDPA frame. The at least one duplicate 20 MHz NDPA frame is a duplicate of the 20 MHz NDPA frame. The station also receives a null data packet (NDP) following the 20 MHz NDPA frame and the at least one duplicate 20 MHz NDPA frame. The bandwidth over which the 20 MHz NDPA frame and the at least one duplicate 20 MHz NDPA frame are transmitted is the same as a bandwidth over which the NDP is transmitted. The station transmits a report frame for the channel sounding. The 20 MHz NDPA frame and the at least one duplicate 20 MHz NDPA frame comprise bandwidth information indicating the bandwidth over which the frames are transmitted.
