    摘要: The specification describes a method of heating hollow shuttering panels for use in casting concrete and similar hardenable materials in which method hot air is used and is arranged to flow through the panel directly in contact with the internal surface of one or more of the sides of the panel. In a rectangular panel described by way of example the interior of the panel is divided, by partitions extending between the sides of the panel, to provide two manifolds extending along opposite edges of the panel and ducts extending between and communicating at their ends with the two manifolds. Hot air from a heating means is passed into one of the manifolds, through the ducts to the other manifold and thence back to the heating means for reheating and recirculation.

    摘要: The invention involves a cooling tower with tower column having a hollow, rotatably mounted turret thereon, from the substantial periphery of which a plurality of equally, angularly spaced apart hollow vanes are suspended. Exhaust steam entered into the column passes upwardly and outwardly in the turret to pass downwardly through the vanes into an annular, rotatably mounted receiver. The receiver discharges the cooled fluid into a fixed reservoir, preferably an annular tank. Air around the column rises and passes outwardly through the vanes in heat exchange relationship therewith. The vanes, at least in their upper portions, are so constructed and directed, that the passage of air therethrough tends to impart rotation to the assembly of turret, vanes, and receiver.

    摘要: A rotatable heat transfer fan has a plurality of radially extending blades secured to a rotatable hub having fluid inlet and outlet passages. A plurality of radially extending heat exchange tubes are spaced from opposite faces of the blades by a plurality of radially spaced fins secured to the blades and the tubes. The inner ends of the tubes are connected to the inlet and outlet passages in the hub whereby a heat exchange fluid may be circulated through the tubes. The outer ends of each tube is fluidly connected to a tubular ring secured to the outer peripheral portions of the blades. The tubular ring defines a circumferentially extending annular fluid passage which equalizes the fluid pressure on all of the tubes. A pump is operable to force fluid through the tubes. In an alternative nonillustrated embodiment, the heat exchange tubes can be replaced electric heating elements.

    摘要: A heat sink assembly includes a thermally conductive support member configured to be attached to a heat source and a heat sink. An adjustable mechanism is configured to moveably connect the thermally conductive support member to the heat sink. The adjustable mechanism permits the heat source to be moved relative to the heat sink without requiring access to the adjustable mechanism. The heat sink assembly provides a mechanically adjustable and supportive system having a thermally conductive path for heat removal from the object. The integral movable adjustment mechanism permits the thermally conductive member to translate without loss of the thermal path between the two ends. The heat source can move and become rigidly fixed in location without direct access. A compression mechanism may provide a continuous force between the support member and the heat sink as the support member is translated to permit movement of the heat generating source.
