    摘要: A plurality of identical heat exchange plates have respective heat exchange surfaces provided with protuberances acting as turbulence-effecting and spacing means between adjacent plates, such plates being adapted for assembly with marginal gaskets to form plate interspaces for throughflow of two heat exchange media along said surfaces at opposite sides (faces), respectively, of each plate. The plate interspaces are of the same depth, and at least one plate is turned 180* relative to the other plates around an axis extending in the plane of the turned plate, the protuberances of each plate being arranged unsymmetrically and so disposed that two different kinds of plate interspaces are formed by such turning of said one plate, thereby creating different flow conditions for the heat exchange media.

    摘要: The invention involves a cooling tower with tower column having a hollow, rotatably mounted turret thereon, from the substantial periphery of which a plurality of equally, angularly spaced apart hollow vanes are suspended. Exhaust steam entered into the column passes upwardly and outwardly in the turret to pass downwardly through the vanes into an annular, rotatably mounted receiver. The receiver discharges the cooled fluid into a fixed reservoir, preferably an annular tank. Air around the column rises and passes outwardly through the vanes in heat exchange relationship therewith. The vanes, at least in their upper portions, are so constructed and directed, that the passage of air therethrough tends to impart rotation to the assembly of turret, vanes, and receiver.

    摘要: A vapor collection system that can be used at an extra-terrestrial body is envisioned to collect target gaseous atoms and molecules that are floating around in a shielded environment at a pressure at or less than 1×10−5 bar. The shielded environment is defined within sidewalls and in some cases is defined within a cover. A condensation surface in the shielded environment is maintained at a temperature between 2° Kelvin and 100° Kelvin to collect the target gas that is floating around, which condenses on the condensation surface as a liquid. A collection receptacle at the condensation surface collects the liquid. A heating element in the shielded environment is made to heat and release the target gas from minerals at or beyond the rim. The gas floats around in the shielded environment.

    摘要: In a temperature control method of a photosensitive material drying device relating to the present invention, a photosensitive material is heated and dried by drying air heated by a heating device. A temperature of a member heated by the drying air is detected, and operation of the heating device is controlled so that the temperature of the member is maintained within a predetermined range. Further, a photosensitive material drying device relating to the present invention includes a heating device supplying heated drying air to an interior of a drying chamber and heating and drying a photosensitive material for which processing by processing solutions has been completed; an exhaust grill through which exhaust air, which is discharged from a vicinity of a conveying path of the photosensitive material to an exterior of the drying chamber, passes; a temperature sensor, disposed at the exhaust grill in a state in which the temperature sensor is shielded from the drying air and detecting a temperature of the exhaust grill heated by the exhaust air; and a temperature control device which controls the heating device in accordance with a temperature detected by the temperature sensor.
