摘要: A unitary extruded plaster screed expansion joint for use in cast wall construction. The expansion joint includes a front wall and a first pair of opposing side walls extending rearwardly from the outer edges of the front wall. A second pair of opposing side walls extends rearwardly and outwardly from the rear edges of the first pair of opposing side walls. A pair of planar flanges extends laterally from the rearmost edges of the second pair of opposing side walls, and an inwardly and rearwardly arched wall connects the second pair of opposing side walls. The expansion joint is attached to a support surface, and plaster slabs are formed in place on the support surface adjacent to the expansion strip. The front wall is attached to the side walls of the expansion strip in such a manner as to prevent plaster residue from accumulating at the junctures therebetween, so that when the front wall is stripped away from the expansion joint, no plaster residue remains. As the adjacent plaster slabs expand, the forces brought to bear on the side walls cause the arched interior wall to deform; but since the arched wall is disposed rearwardly and outwardly of the first pair of opposing side walls, the joint is capable of complete closure until the first pair of side walls touch one another. Since the design of the joint affords a greater range of motion, fewer expansion joints can be used to accommodate the same amount of expansion; or, in the alternative, the same number of separators can be used but with narrower joints.

摘要: The insulated outer coating of walls of building structures includes a cured foamed insulation material applied in a flowable state and an outer plaster means. Metal plates forming the moulding form for the injected foamed insulation material are connected by means of threaded bolts with the wall of the building structure, whereby a space is defined between the outer surface of said wall and the inner surface of each metal plate. A flowable insulation material containing urea-formaldehyde is injected into this space and cured therein. Each metal plate comprises protrusions and perforations. The perforations extend through the protrusions as well as through the metal plate. The plaster material applied on the outer face of the metal plates penetrates in its flowable state the penetrations and when cured in anchored by means of the protrusions and the penetrations. This arrangement allows the application of a not adhering or not sticking, respectively, insulation material, whereby the plaster is not carried by the insulation material but rather by the building wall itself. Conclusively, the insulation material is not subject to any forces stemming from the gravity of the plaster.

摘要: A jointing of concrete structure comprising applying an adhesive to a base concrete structure and applying a new concrete thereto, which is characteristic in that the adhesive comprises a vinyl acetate-ethylene copolymer emulsion having a glass transition temperature of -5.degree. to +5.degree. C., said adhesive being the vinyl acetate-ethylene copolymer emulsion per se, or a cement paste or cement mortar which contains the vinyl acetate-ethylene copolymer emulsion. The jointing of the present invention can give a strong joint force between the old concrete structure and the new concrete.

摘要: The apparatus and method of supplying pulverized insulative material to within an existing wall structure which already has a pad of insulative material located within the wall. An access opening is provided through the outer surface of the wall. The tool is formed in substantially a right angle and is to be connectable to a machine for blowing insulation. The outer edge of the tool includes a cutting edge and the outer surface of the tool adjacent the cutting edge is formed slightly arcuate. The cutting edge portion of the tool is inserted through the access opening and moved against the pad of insulation thereby cutting such until the cutting edge of the tool is located directly adjacent the backing layer of material of the pad of insulation. At this time the tool is then pivoted causing the tool to penetrate the backing layer of material and continuing to pivot the tool causes the tool to be located between the backing layer of material and the inner wall. The arcuate surface of the free end of the tool facilitates sliding movement of the tool against the inner wall. At this time the insulation may be blown with air pressure through the tool to be deposited within the interior opening of the wall structure.

摘要: The present disclosure relates generally to wallboards, for example, suitable for use in constructing internal walls. The present disclosure relates more particularly to a wallboard and a method that provides simplified high-quality surface finishing. The wallboard includes a wall panel having a front surface and a rear surface. A sandable coating is disposed on the front surface of the wall panel. The method includes positioning wallboards adjacent to one another, applying sandable joint compound over joint formed between the wallboards, and sanding the joint compound and the sandable coating of the wallboards.
