Abstract: A beater wheel for a pulverizer mill is provided. The beater wheel includes a rotatable hub disc having apertures defined therethrough and a ring disc having respective apertures defined therethrough, and a plurality of tubular ribs, disposed therebetween and weldingly coupled thereto at a tubular first end to the hub disc and at a tubular second end to the ring disc to define respective weld joints thereat. Each respective aperture in the hub disc and ring disc are sized and disposed to allow direct access therethrough to at least one respective weld joint at the respective interior surface of the first and second tubular ends for inspection and testing.

Abstract: A method of grinding a mineral material (10) containing at least calcium impurities implemented in a plant (1) including a grinder (2) and a granulometric selection device, referred to as a selector device (3), able to separate the materials into two fractions. The method includes the following steps: grinding the mineral material by material bed compression with the grinder to obtain a ground material, separating the ground material into a fine fraction and a coarse fraction with the selector device, returning the coarse fraction (13) to the grinder (2) for a further grinding step. At least part of the ground material is subjected to sorting intended to separate the metal impurities from the mineral materials. A plant as it stands, and the method and installation will find a particular use for producing hydraulic binders such as cement.

Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to a system and method for disinfecting medical waste. The method includes shredding the medical waste via a shredder until the medical waste has a predetermined particle size. Further steps include spreading the medical waste onto a heating conveyor and conveying the shredded medical waste through a heating chamber via a heating conveyor. Thus, within the heating chamber, the shredded medical waste is heated via one or more infrared heating elements and at least one additional heating source, e.g. induction heating, such that the medical waste is heated from a plurality of directions. The resulting treated medical waste is biologically inert and clean and can be disposed of in standard commercial garbage or roll-off bins, which are typically located at medical facilities.

Abstract: An apparatus for recycling synthetic thermoplastic waste material combining heretofore multiple stage processing steps in a single stage shredder grinder pulverizer device. The apparatus has multiple interchangeable material processing blade sets on respective effacing engageable rotating and fixed blade mounts within a cooled material infeed and blade containment enclosure with multiple vacuum outlet ports and communicating vacuum ducts to draw off and transport processed material therefrom for separation and classification, as required. Each replaceable interchangeable processing blade set includes registerable shredding and grinding blades and annular pulverizing blade sets on fixed and movable mediums for progressive processing of waste material into uniform recyclable material.

Abstract: A fluid treatment apparatus is described. The fluid treatment apparatus includes: (i) a pulverizer designed to pulverize solids present in a fluid flow to produce pulverized solids admixed with the fluid flow; (ii) a rotatable shaft for rotating the pulverized solids and the fluid flow; (iii) a restrictor or filter for retaining a first portion of the pulverized solids, and allowing a second portion of pulverized solids and a second portion of the fluid flow to pass therethrough; and (iv) a first recirculating line configured to receive the first portion of the pulverized solids and a first portion of the fluid flow that did not pass through the restrictor or the filter.

Abstract: A method includes grinding a wax into wax particles having a size in a range from about 600 microns to about 800 microns forming a mixture of the wax particles with water and a surfactant; and homogenizing the mixture to form a wax dispersion, the homogenizing step is maintained below about 35° C. A wax dispersion includes a wax a surfactant; and water, particles of the wax dispersion are a uniform, irregular, non-platelet morphology. A wax dispersion made by a process includes grinding a wax into wax particles having a size in a range from about 600 microns to about 800 microns, forming a mixture of the wax particles with water and a surfactant, and homogenizing the mixture to form a wax dispersion, the homogenizing step is maintained below about 35° C. and the wax has a uniform, irregular, non-platelet morphology imparted by combination of the grinding and homogenizing steps.

Abstract: A mill includes a housing with a first end portion, a second end portion, and a lateral area disposed therebetween. The housing includes a raw material inlet, an air inlet, a recirculated material inlet, and a material outlet. An impeller is supported by the housing and includes a shaft disposed along the longitudinal axis of the housing, with a plurality of curved blades. A method for milling includes receiving a material of a first size range, introducing the material to an apparatus via a first inlet and introducing air into the apparatus via a second inlet. The method also includes agitating the material via an impeller, where the agitation reduces at least some of the material to a second size range by the time the material reaches an outlet of the apparatus. The processed material is delivered to subsequent processing operations.
