    摘要: A novel laminar assembly for use with comminution equipment, such as a liner for protecting the shell of an ore crushing mill or as a wear tip on a blow bar for use in a rock impact crusher. The laminar segment includes a plurality of laminae which are attached to each other with a rod extending through holes positioned in the base of the laminae, thereby forming a segment of virtually any desired length. Mounting bolts are configured in two pieces, with an axial hole extending through the head of the mounting bolt by which they are mounted to the rod and thereby attached to the liner segment. A second piece of the mounting bolt threadably engages the head of the bolt and extends through the mounting surface of the comminution equipment being used. The utilization of small laminae enable the laminae to be cast and heat treated such that the microstructure throughout the laminae may be strictly controlled, thereby providing a laminae with consistent hardness and toughness throughout the laminae.

    摘要: An anvil adjustment assembly of a vertical shaft impactor includes an anvil ring configured to be disposed within a housing of the vertical shaft impactor. The anvil ring includes a tab which is coupled to an elongate jack bolt having a first end and a second end. A jack bolt housing partially surrounds the bolt and is coupled to the housing. A first locking collar and a second locking collar are coupled to the jack bolt. The first locking nut is coupled to the jack bolt on one side of the tab, and the second locking nut is coupled to the jack bolt on the opposite side of the tab. The jack bolt moves along a longitudinal axis within the jack bolt housing between a first position and a second position, and the movement of the jack bolt along the longitudinal axis induces longitudinal movement of the anvil ring.

The housing includes a raw material inlet, an air inlet, a recirculated material inlet, and a material outlet. An impeller is supported by the housing and includes a shaft disposed along the longitudinal axis of the housing, with a plurality of curved blades. A method for milling includes receiving a material of a first size range, introducing the material to an apparatus via a first inlet and introducing air into the apparatus via a second inlet. The method also includes agitating the material via an impeller, where the agitation reduces at least some of the material to a second size range by the time the material reaches an outlet of the apparatus. The processed material is delivered to subsequent processing operations.

    摘要: The disclosure is directed to an improved liner assembly for an ore grinding mill. The liner assembly is of the segmented type, comprising a first plurality of holder segments which are mounted directly to the shell of the mill, and a second plurality of wear segments which are mounted to the shell in overlying relation to the holder segments, which are thus virtually unexposed to the ore comminution process and wear very slowly. The wear segments are formed with a plurality of downwardly projecting bosses which are received in similarly configured recesses formed within the holder segments. Mounting openings or bores are formed in the wear segments, extending from the top grinding surface to the center of each boss to receive a mounting bolt that extends through both segments and projects externally of the shell to receive a threaded lock nut. These mounting openings are countersunk so that the heads of the mounting bolts securing the wear segments are substantially recessed from the grinding surface. The holder segments are secured directly to the shell by identical mounting bolts through mounting openings which are protectively covered by the wear segments to preclude exposure to the ore fragments during the comminution process.
