摘要: A calibration method comprising, for each of one or more light sensors: (a) under influence of one or more substantially non-zero illumination levels in the target environment, using the light sensor to measure the sensed light level corresponding to each of these one or more illumination levels; (b) receiving a template light level value corresponding to each of the one or more illumination levels, representing the light level at a target location in the target environment substantially removed in space from the location of the light sensor, each of the one or more template light level values being assumed for the environment rather than measured by a light meter; and (c) determining a relationship between the sensed light level and the light level experienced at the target location, based on an evaluation of the one or more sensed levels relative to the one or more template light level values.

摘要: An electronic reading device can include an adjustable RGBW front light and an ambient light sensor. Additionally, the electronic reading device can include circuitry configured to receive a signal from the ambient light sensor corresponding to a detected ambient light level, automatically display a default brightness level based on the detected ambient light level, determine if the brightness level is manually adjusted, automatically adjust the relative brightness based on the manually adjusted brightness level when the ambient light level changes, and update preferred relative settings to correspond to the manual adjustment.

摘要: A protective case for an electronic reading device includes a back cover, wherein the back cover is configured to secure the electronic reading device. The back cover includes a plurality of metal plates, each of the plurality of metal plates disposed in a predetermined location. The protective case also includes a front cover, wherein the front cover includes a plurality of magnets, each of the plurality of magnets being disposed in a predetermined location and one or more of the plurality of magnets being positioned based on the location of one or more corresponding metal plates. The front cover also includes a Hall sensor magnet positioned on top of a magnet shielding, wherein the Hall sensor magnet is positioned between the magnet shielding and the back cover of the protective case when the protective case is in a closed position.

The scripts may include spectral data and executable code for altering the spectral data and depend on sensor data. In particular, a frame descriptor may include data for a frame, a repeat count indicating a number of frames, and an identifier for a subroutine that uses sensor data. One or more luminaires can be network connected to one or more computers running applications providing user interfaces for script generation. A standardized interface can control communications with the luminaires and convey sensor data.

摘要: A monitor lighting control device receives a state change event message that includes a payload specifying: (i) a state change event of an occupancy, audio, or daylight sensor, or a switch to turn lighting on/off, dim up/down, set scene or the like; (ii) an identifier of a member lighting control device that detected the state change event; and (iii) a lighting control group identifier of a lighting control group that includes the member lighting control device and the monitor lighting control device. The monitor lighting control device transmits an acknowledgement of receipt of the state change event message to the member lighting control device. The monitor lighting control device generates a state change multicast message that includes the state change event of the payload. Also, the monitor lighting control device transmits the generated state change multicast message to the lighting control group.

摘要: A system monitors operational status of a lighting element. A lighting fixture processor instructs a lighting element to illuminate at a predetermined time, receives sensed light level information from the light sensing element, and transmits a message including information representing the sensed light level. A room controller can control some or all of these steps. A daylighting arrangement includes a room controller that instructs the lighting fixtures of a lighting group to illuminate their lighting elements at a predetermined time of day. Sensed light level information is obtained and transmitted to the room controller, which determines an initial daylighting target for the lighting fixture group based on an average of the sensed light level information. The room controller instructs the lighting fixtures to illuminate their respective lighting elements in accordance with the initial daylighting target.

摘要: A system of networked lighting devices includes a central controller and a group of lighting devices. The central controller includes a processor, first and second communication interfaces, various lighting devices and a communication link. The first communication interface includes input ports and a multiplexer configured to receive signals from the input ports and combine the received signals into a multiplexed signal. The second communication interface includes one or more antennas and is configured to receive the multiplexed signal from the multiplexer and transmit the multiplexed signal via the antenna(s). Each lighting device includes a fixture controller, one or more lighting modules, and a communication interface. The communication link transmits the multiplexed signal between one or more of the lighting devices and at least one of the communication interfaces of the central controller.

The power for the intelligent lighting network is supplied by Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) switches and/or Mid-Spans, which are conditioned by a powered device to distribute power tuned specifically for each, at least one light emitting diode (LED) fixture. The Power-over-Ethernet switch and/or Mid-Span with associated router and wireless access point can be used to communicate with, and power a sensor network that collects data relevant to the intelligent lighting network. Optionally, the Power-over-Ethernet switch and/or Mid-Span can be used to communicate with, and power a network of sensors that collects data relevant to the space the intelligent lighting network is operating in, or can be used to communicate with and power a network of AC wall plugs that can be turned on and off, and various switches, relays, and PLCs, RFID systems, USB hubs, etc.

The device is convertible between being powered by a stand-alone power source, such as a battery, and being powered by a power module that connects to the building's alternating current electrical power supply. The power module is configured to connect to the building's alternating current electrical power supply, convert the provided electrical power to a direct current electrical power appropriate for use by the device.
