Abstract:
In a pixel part, in a first active region, a photodiode and a transferring transistor are formed. In a second active region, a resetting transistor is formed. In a pixel part, in a first active region, a photodiode and a transferring transistor are formed. In a second active region, an amplifying transistor is formed. The first and second active regions are respectively the same in shape in image pixel parts. The resetting transistor and the amplifying transistor are shared by the pixel parts.
Abstract:
A swash plate type compressor has a cylinder block, a drive shaft, a piston, a pair of first and second shoes and a swash plate. The swash plate has a first surface on the far side of the swash plate from the cylinder bore in slide contact with the first shoe and a second surface on the same side of the swash plate as the cylinder bore in slide contact with the second shoe. The swash plate has first and second edges formed between the first and second surfaces and an outer peripheral surface of the swash plate, respectively. The swash plate has a curved surface formed on the first edge at and adjacent to the bottom dead center of the swash plate whose radius of curvature is larger than that of the surface of the second edge.
Abstract:
The invention provides an optical disk including an image recording layer and a first cover layer formed in this order on one surface side of a substrate, and an information recording layer and a second cover layer formed in this order on the other surface side of the substrate. The thicknesses of the first cover layer and the second cover layer are preferably substantially the same as each other. The materials of the first cover layer and the second cover layer are preferably the same material. The materials of the first cover layer and the second cover layer are preferably cellulose triacetate.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a highly safe composition which is effective for protecting liver functions and preventing liver dysfunctions in the case where liver dysfunctions rise by various causes. The present inventors found that oxidized coenzyme Q is effective for protecting liver functions in the absence of selenium and that reduced coenzyme Q has a higher efficacy for protecting liver functions. The composition containing, as the main components, oxidized coenzyme Q and less than 0.01 percent by weight of selenium, or reduced coenzyme Q can be used to protect liver functions. The present invention can provide a highly safe composition which is highly effective for maintaining health.
Abstract:
A radio communication system according to the present invention comprises a transmitter having a plurality of transmission antennas, and a receiver having a mechanism to perform a diversity reception. A plurality of multi-modulators of the transmitter allocates the same transmission data to a plurality of subcarriers, combines all transmission signals obtained by weighting each of the subcarriers, and outputs combined transmission signals. At least one of weight values for the same data is different between the multi-modulators in the weighting processing for each of the carriers.
Abstract:
A font memory for a display includes a ROM with a storage region divided into a program storing region and a font data storing region, divided into a mono-font data storing region and a color font data storing region, and designed to map and store data in three segment storage regions in the color font data storing region with respect to a character CRA code defining characteristics of color font data. Three segment storage regions in the color font data storing region, in which color font data corresponding to a CRA code, which is not displayed on a screen, of CRA codes of color font data with respect to a specific font, are to be written, have a mono-font storage diversion changeable storage region that stores therein mono-font data with respect to a font other than the specific font.
Abstract:
An ADF (Automatic Document Feeder) for an image processing apparatus of the present invention includes a separating and feeding device for feeding one document from a stack of documents while separating the document from the others. A conveying device temporarily stops the document fed by the separating and feeding device at a position preceding a reading position and again conveys, on the elapse of a preselected period of time, the document toward the reading position. A controller controllably drives the separating and feeding device and conveying device. The controller drives the conveying device by controlling the time interval between the restart of conveyance of the preceding document and the restart of conveyance of the following document.
Abstract:
A variable valve timing control apparatus includes a relative rotation control mechanism and a fluid pressure passage. The relative rotation control mechanism restrains a relative rotation between a rotor and a housing at an intermediate phase position between the most advanced angle phase position and the most retarded angle phase position. The fluid pressure passage includes a first fluid path for supplying the fluid to the relative rotation control mechanism and for draining the fluid therefrom and a second fluid path for supplying the fluid to an advance angle chamber and a retard angle chamber and for draining the fluid therefrom. The first fluid path is defined independently of the second fluid path.
Abstract:
A compressor has a drive plate located in a crank chamber and tiltably mounted on a drive shaft and a piston operably coupled to the drive plate and located in a cylinder bore. The inclination of the drive plate is variable according to a difference between the pressure in the crank chamber and the pressure in the cylinder bore. The compressor has an adjusting mechanism for adjusting the pressure in one of the crank chamber and a suction chamber to vary the difference between the pressure in the crank chamber and the pressure in the cylinder bore. The adjusting mechanism includes a gas passage for passing the gas used for adjusting the pressure and a control valve for adjusting the amount of the gas flowing in the gas passage. The control valve includes a valve body, a reacting member and a solenoid. The valve body adjusts the opening size of the gas passage. The reacting member moves the valve body in accordance with the pressure of the gas supplied to the compressor from the external circuit. The solenoid biases the valve body in a direction with the force based on a value of current supplied to the solenoid. A supplying apparatus supplies undulating current to the solenoid. The supplying apparatus varies the average value of the undulating current to vary the biasing force of the solenoid.
