    摘要: A variable timing duration camshaft has an outer shaft (1) and coaxial inner shaft (2) adapted so that the shafts (1, 2) are relatively slidable but not rotatable about each other. The outer shaft (1) has valve control lobes located on its outer surface and a valve control lobe modifying segments (4) is located on the inner shaft (2) and is slidingly fitted into a mating slot (5) in the outer shaft and in the valve control lobe whereby longitudinal axial movement of the inner shaft (2) relative to the outershaft by a control means (13, 14) causes the modifying segment (4) to move longitudinally and circumferentially relative to the valve control lobes thereby varying the duration.

    摘要: A variable valve timing apparatus rotatably receives a rotor in a housing. The rotor can rotate within a predetermined angular range. In some cases, the rotor is locked by a lock pin at an intermediate position within the angular range. In this manner, it is possible to realize a suitable valve timing even when an engine is restarted after it is stopped. In some case, the rotor is prevented from moving to the largest delay angle position by a restricting pin. In this manner, it is possible to prevent the rotor from reaching the largest delay angle position before the engine is stopped. On the other hand, while the engine is operated, it is possible to rotate the rotor to the largest delay angle position and to realize a valve timing responsive to the state of operation.

    摘要: In an internal combustion engine with two camshafts arranged next to one another and each mounted in a radial bearing in the cylinder head and hydraulic device for rotary angle adjustment of each camshaft with respect to a crankshaft. The supply and discharge of hydraulic pressure medium to and from the devices are controlled separately in each case by an electromagnetic hydraulic valve comprised of an electromagnet and of a valve housing capable of being plugged into a valve receptacle. Each valve housing on its circumference has a plurality of annular grooves with a plurality of radial orifices and on its free end face has a further orifice, via which the hydraulic valves are fluidically connected to the radial bearings of the camshafts and to a pressure connection and to a tank connection. Valve receptacles are passage bores which are fluidically connected via horizontal transverse ducts to the radial bearings of the camshafts and to the pressure connection. The separation of individual fluid streams is caused by an adapter sleeve plugged axially onto each valve housing and having a plurality of radial bores.

The phaser has a housing having an outer circumference for accepting a drive force, and a rotor connected to a camshaft coaxially located within the housing. The spool valve comprising a spool slidably mounted within a bore in the rotor. In the spool a chamber is present that has an input communicating with the bore the spool is mounted in, an output communicating with the outside, and an air flow restriction. Hydraulic fluid from the input communicating with the bore is prevented from communicating with the outside by the air flow restriction.
