    摘要: Herein disclosed is an improved arrangement of a park lock device for use with an automatic transmission, by which the transmission casing can be constructed simple and compact in size. The park lock device comprises a parking gear secured to the output shaft of the transmission to rotate therewith; a parking pawl pivotally connected to the casing to lock and unlock the parking gear, the pawl including first and second wing portions which extend in the opposed directions from the pivoted portion of the pawl, the first wing portion being formed with a tooth lockably engageable with a tooth gap of the parking gear; and an actuating mechanism having a cam member which is slidably engageable with the second wing portion to pivot the parking pawl in a direction to achieve the locking engagement between the tooth of the parking pawl and the tooth gap of the parking gear. The actuating mechanism is positioned essentially inboard of the parking pawl with respect to the transmission casing.

    摘要: Disclosed herein is a hydraulic control system for an automatic transmission wherein a first friction unit (C3) is engaged in downshifting from the 4th speed ratio to the 3rd speed ratio and it is engaged in downshifting from the 4th speed ratio to the 2nd speed ratio. A first port (124g) of a 3-4 shift valve (24) communicates with the first friction unit (C3) and it is allowed to communicate with a second port (124h) when the 3-4 shift valve (22) assumes a downshift position thereof. The second port (124h) communicates via a first passage (454) with a fluid conduit (412) supplied with an actuating fluid pressure. A second passage (452) is provided which connects the second port (124h) to the fluid conduit (412). The first and second passages are provided with first and second orifice devices (662, 660), respectively. The second fluid passage (452) is blocked when a 2-3 shift valve (22) assumes a downshift position thereof.

    摘要: A hydraulic control system comprises a lock-up valve including a spool movable between a clutch engagement position and a clutch release position, and a spring biasing the spool toward the clutch release position. The spool has a pressure acting area which is exposed to a first fluid pressure which is present during operation in each of a m th speed ratio and a m+1 th speed ratio. Means is provided which is responsive to a second fluid pressure which is present during operation in one of the m th speed ratio and the m+1 th speed ratio and absent during operation in the other speed ratio. The means is operative to apply the second fluid pressure to the pressure acting area of the spool of the lock-up valve instead of the first fluid pressure.

    摘要: A hydraulic control system comprises a pressure regulator valve which generates a line pressure in response to a throttle related pressure and a cut back pressure. The throttle related pressure varies in a pattern corresponding to the pattern of output torque of an engine. The cut back pressure appears at low rotational speeds of a transmission output shaft and varies with an increase in the degree of throttle opening and decreases with an increase of rotational speed of the transmission output shaft. The line pressure, therefore, varies in a pattern corresponding to the pattern of torque supplied to a transmission input shaft through a torque converter.

The hydraulic control system comprises a drain conduit having one end communicable with the first fluid operated friction unit and an opposite end, and a timing valve which discharges the drain conduit via an orifice when the fluid pressure supplied to the second fluid operated friction unit is lower than a predetermined value, while it discharges the drain conduit bypassing the orifice when the fluid pressure supplied to the second fluid operated friction unit exceeds the predetermined value.

    摘要: A manual valve comprises a spool having two lands slidably disposed in a bore of a housing for movement to a P range, a R range, a N range, a D range, a II range and a I range. The manual valve is formed with an inlet port and five outlet ports. The first and second outlet ports are allowed to communicate with the inlet port to receive a line pressure when the spool is set to R range. The second outlet port is allowed to communicate with said inlet port when the spool is set to N range. The second and third outlet ports are allowed to communicate with said inlet port when the spool is set to D range. The third and fourth outlet ports are allowed to communicate with the inlet port when the spool is set to II range. The third, fourth and fifth outlet ports are allowed to communicate with the inlet port when the spool is set to I range. The first inlet port, second inlet port, inlet port, third outlet port, fourth outlet port and fifth outlet port are arranged in this order along the axial direction of the spool.
