Abstract: When a sweeping process and a backup process are performed on an electronic library file in an electronic library, a file storing a history of the sweeping process or a history of a backup process is generated, and the sweeping and the backup processes are managed. Thus, a user can easily manage as to which medium an original document has been swept to or where a backup copy of the original document is. If the uniqueness of the original document shown in a sweep history and a backup history can be secured, the problem that there can be a plurality of original documents on the storage media of a plurality of electronic libraries can be avoided.

Abstract: A route setting device, which can provide a route setting device which realize a suitable route setting for each vehicle by using vehicle side data in order to comply with a situation where travel of the vehicle is permitted or prohibited based on the vehicle side data. An ECU sets a destination route by considering the number of passengers as vehicle side data. When the number is only one, that is only driver, the ECU sets the destination route without including carpool lane. On the contrary, when the number is two or more than two, the ECU calculates the destination including the carpool lane. Since many carpool lanes have some advantages compared to the normal roads such that the carpool lane is closer to an exit or the travel distance itself is shorter. Therefore, it can be expected that destination route is set more adequately by including the carpool lane.

Abstract: A method for transferring a package of files that is executed by a personal computer, the package of files being made up of plural compressed files that are separately present therein. For transferring the package of files, the personal computer creates, with respect to each printer, a dedicated file that is exclusively acceptable to similar-dedicated-file-compatible models of the printer; the personal computer treats the respective dedicated files as the plural files and creates the package of files by packaging the respective dedicated files in the package of files; and with respect to the respective dedicated files in the package of files, in transferring the package of files, when it is detected by the personal computer, that the personal computer is connected to the printer that is compatible with the dedicated file, the personal computer transfers the dedicated file in the package of files to the detected printer.

Abstract: A semiconductor device in which stored data can be held even when power is not supplied and there is no limitation on the number of writing operations is provided. A semiconductor device is formed using a material which can sufficiently reduce the off-state current of a transistor, such as an oxide semiconductor material that is a wide-gap semiconductor. When a semiconductor material which can sufficiently reduce the off-state current of a transistor is used, the semiconductor device can hold data for a long period. In addition, by providing a capacitor or a noise removal circuit electrically connected to a write word line, a signal such as a short pulse or a noise input to a memory cell can be reduced or removed. Accordingly, a malfunction in which data written into the memory cell is erased when a transistor in the memory cell is instantaneously turned on can be prevented.

Abstract: This power transmission control device is applied to a hybrid vehicle, includes a manual transmission, a friction clutch, and a speed-reduction-ratio changeover mechanism. The speed-reduction-ratio changeover mechanism can change the speed reduction ratio of a second shaft connected to an output shaft of the manual transmission in relation to a first shaft connected to an output shaft of the vehicle motor. The speed reduction ratio of drive wheels to the output shaft of the vehicle motor is changed by changing the speed reduction ratio of the second shaft in relation to the first shaft. The operation for changing the speed reduction ratio is performed while a driver is operating a clutch pedal. Namely, while the driver is performing some operation, he or she receives a shock generated as a result of speed-reduction-ratio change operation. Accordingly, the driver becomes less likely to sense such a shock.
