    摘要: A pattern recognition apparatus detects a coincidence between an input image pattern and a target pattern. Input image data f.sub.ij are received, where f.sub.ij denotes a concentration of the input image pattern at a picture element i,j on a two-dimensional plane of the input image pattern. Mask data g.sub.uv is stored, where g.sub.uv denotes a concentration of the target pattern at a point u,v on a two-dimensional plane of the target pattern. The mask data g.sub.uv is scanned with respect to the input image data f.sub.ij and a proportional coefficient is computed corresponding to each picture element i,j of the two two-dimensional plane of the input image pattern. The proportional coefficient denotes a ratio between the concentration of the input image data f.sub.ij and the concentration of the mask data g.sub.uv. The input image data f.sub.ij is divided into a plurality of partial templates denoting a two-dimensional subsection of the input image pattern. For each partial template, a proportional evaluation index .sigma..sub.ij is calculated corresponding to each picture element i,j of the two-dimensional plane of the input image pattern. The proportional evaluation index .sigma..sub.ij denotes a degree of dispersion of the proportional coefficients within each partial template. Be examining the dispersion of the proportional coefficients, a pattern coincidence can be detected.

    摘要: An ink jet recording sheet having an enhanced ink-absorbing property and bright color image-forming property and an excellent surface hardness has a specific coating layer formed on a surface of a substrate sheet, which comprises a pigment and a resinous binder composed of a cationic copolymer prepared by copolymerizing (a) 99.95 molar % or less of a principal copolymerization component comprising at least one fatty acid vinyl ester comonomer with (b) 0.05 to 0.4 molar % of a cationic copolymerization component comprising at least one cationic comonomer having an ethylenically unsaturated hydrocarbon radical and a cationic radical selected from tertiary amino radicals and quaternary ammonium radicals and, optionally, a member selected from (c) an additional copolymerization component comprising at least one polymerizable non-ionic comonomer different from the fatty acid vinyl ester and (d) a graft copolymerization component comprising polyvinyl alcohol.

    摘要: In a spinning device of an open end spinning machine, a silver is fed to and passes through a feeding and opening device which opens the silver into individual fibers and feeds them into a rotary spinning chamber where they are collected and discharged as a finished yarn therefrom. In order to clean the fibers, when they pass through the feeding and opening device, dirt of the fibers is adapted to be thrown out by centrifugal force and leaves the fibers through a dirt discharge opening and enters through an intermediate duct into a dirt collecting chamber. The chamber is provided with an air inlet opening into the atmosphere and an air outlet connected with a source of negative pressure to produce a current of air which flows through the air inlet and outlet and by which the dirt collected in the chamber is continuously removed out of the chamber. A part of the air current tends to be directed through the intermediate duct to the dirt discharge opening. However, the intermediate duct has a portion with a cross-sectional area sufficiently smaller than that of the dirt collecting chamber so that the speed of that part of the air current becomes smaller than a terminal speed of the dirt.
