摘要: Systems and methods for providing power to devices at a well site employ a linear alternator to generate power at a well site. The linear alternator is mounted on a pump at the well site and uses the up-and-down motion of the pump to generate power. The pump may be a nodding donkey head pump or other sucker rod pump mechanisms that operate based on linear vertical motion. The linear vertical motion drives a linear rotor back and forth through a linear stator to induce current in the linear alternator. This allows the linear alternator to convert a portion of the mechanical work performed by the pump into electrical energy that can be supplied to the devices. In some embodiments, the pump-mounted linear alternator can be equipped with a position sensor to directly measure a vertical position of the pump as the alternator travels up and down with the pump.

摘要: An energy measuring device made of two same size blocks. The outline of two metal ball bearings are traced onto the blocks which are then drilled out where the tracings are marked. Ball bearings are inserted into the resulting holes. With the bearings fitted in place a dowel is inserted through the centers of the bearings to check out the fitting. The dowel is then removed and replaced with a roller. Next, a generator and gear assembly is fabricated comprising two gears and a band, the selected gears having a 10:1 ratio. A string is now loosely attached to the dowel so it can be wound up and released to measure an amount of energy created. The string is marked from 12-24 inches, in 6 inch increments, and these markings are used to control speed and turns for tests related to harnessing otherwise wasted energy.

摘要: An electrical drive includes an electrical machine, a first converter stage connected to terminals of stator phase-windings of the electrical machine, and a second converter stage connected to intermediate points of the stator phase-windings. A control device determines first component currents and second component currents so that torque is generated in accordance with electrical machine control and magnetic levitation force is directed to a rotor of the electrical machine in accordance with levitation control when portions of the phase-windings between the terminals and the intermediate points carry both the first and second component currents and the other portions of the phase-windings carry the first component currents. The reference currents for the first converter stage are determined based on the first and second component currents, and the reference currents for the second converter stage are determined based on the second component currents.
