    Abstract: A system providing various improved calibration techniques for haptic feedback is described. An acoustic field is defined by one or more control points in a space within which the acoustic field may exist. Each control point is assigned an amplitude value equating to a desired amplitude of the acoustic field at the control point. Because complete control of space is not possible, controlling the acoustic field at given points yields erroneous local maxima in the acoustic field levels at other related positions. In relation to mid-air haptic feedback, these can interfere in interactions with the space by creating secondary effects and ghost phenomena that can be felt outside the interaction area. The level and nature of the secondary maxima in the acoustic field is determined by how the space is controlled. By arranging the transducer elements in different ways, unwanted effects on the acoustic field can be limited and controlled.

    Abstract: A method for recognizing a gesture using a first and second devices, wherein the gesture is made on a physical object. The first device may receive an entrance signal generated by the gesture, calculate descriptors of the gesture to assess characteristics of said entrance signal, segment, based on the descriptors, said entrance signal to obtain a group of segments and calculate physical values from said entrance signal, calculate a characteristic vector of signal features for each segment using the physical values, and process the characteristic vector of signal features for each segment to learn a metric function between gestures. The second device may determine, based on the metric function between gestures and characteristics of an entrance signal received by the second device, a specific exit signal correlated to a new gesture made in contact on another physical object; and supply the specific exit signal to another device.

    Abstract: A tactile force feedback touch panel is provided, which comprises a plurality of detection components for detecting a touch signal and a protection layer located on a surface of the detection components. Each of the detection components includes a signal transmitting module for transmitting a detection signal and a signal receiving module for receiving the detection signal. The protection layer covers the surface of the detection components and covers a touch region. The signal transmitting module and the signal receiving module are located at at least two adjacent sides of the touch region respectively. A tactile force feedback system is also provided. After the user presses the protection layer, the detection component may detect the condition of deformation of the protection layer according to the detection signal received by the detection component to implement regular touch function and the touch control function with different tactile feeling.

    Abstract: In certain embodiments, a system includes first and second resistive components and a touch sensor controller. The first component is positioned on a first sense line connected to an in-cell touch sensor. The first resistive component is set to a value modifying an RC time constant of a first electrode of the touch sensor. The second resistive component is positioned on a second sense line connected to the in-cell touch sensor. The second component is set to a value modifying an RC time constant of a second electrode of the touch sensor. The value of the modified RC time constant of the first electrode is within 100% of the value of the modified RC time constant of the second electrode. The controller receives signals from the first and second sense lines, such that the first and second resistive components are between the controller and the first and second electrodes, respectively.

    Abstract: An electronic device with ultrasonic touch is provided. The electronic device includes a display device, an ultrasonic transmission device, an ultrasonic reception device, a substrate, an ultrasonic controller, and a sensing circuit. The substrate is adjacent to the ultrasonic transmission device and the ultrasonic reception device. The ultrasonic controller generates a control signal. The ultrasonic transmission device generates an ultrasonic wave in a direction toward the substrate according to the control signal, and the ultrasonic reception device simultaneously receives the ultrasonic wave according to the control signal through the substrate and generates a sensing signal corresponding to the received ultrasonic wave. The sensing circuit determines a position whether a touch occurs according to the sensing signal to generate a touch signal.

    Abstract: Disclosed floating touch control panel includes a substrate, a modulated light source, a read sub-circuit, an output sub-circuit, an ultrasonic wave sensing unit and a light sensing unit; the ultrasonic wave sensing unit is configured to transmit an ultrasonic wave to a touch control side, to convert an ultrasonic wave reflected back from the touch control side into an electric signal and then provide it to a first node; the light sensing unit is configured to convert a modulated light reflected from the touch control side into an electric signal and then provide it to the first node; the read sub-circuit is configured to output a touch control signal to the output sub-circuit according to a potential of the first node; the output sub-circuit is configured to be controlled by a corresponding first touch control scan line to provide a touch control read line with the received touch control signal.
