Abstract:
The present invention relates to a panel, in particular a wall, ceiling or floor panel, comprising a carrier layer made of a plastic material and a priming coat, wherein the priming coat comprises thereon an imprinted decorative pattern. Furthermore, the present invention relates to a method for manufacturing such a panel and a usage of a specific primer in such a panel.
Abstract:
A photovoltaic construction wall is provided, having an inner surface adapted to face an inner enclosed space, and an outer surface adapted to gather energy from the sun when installed. The wall is used in buildings and also in buildings in building complexes. The construction wall includes a multi-layered composite wall comprising plates made from corrugated cardboard, an insulating space and a photovoltaic panel. The multi-layered composite wall has a first inwardly disposed dense, organically based panel to which is affixed a first plate made from corrugated cardboard, the flutes of the corrugated cardboard construction being disposed transversely to the panel surface; a second dense, organically based panel affixed to the aforementioned plate, to the second dense, organically based panel is affixed a second plate made from a denser corrugated cardboard, the flutes of which are disposed transversely to the panel surface, providing inertia to temperature variations; a third dense, organically based panel connected to said second plate, which third dense, organically based panel has a light absorbing layer on an outwardly disposed surface thereof; and, connected to the light absorbing layer or the third dense, organically based panel, a third plate made from corrugated cardboard the flutes of which are disposed transversly to the panel surface. The third plate has an air gap outwardly disposed thereof in which air is free to circulate by means of vents disposed at the extreme ends of the photovoltaic panel. The photovoltaic panel is made up of photovoltaic cells transparent to infrared radiation from the sun. It is structurally connected to the construction wall at a distance defining said air gap and disposed outwardly so as to gather the sun's rays when installed.
Abstract:
A method of fastening a wall panel to a wall, according to one illustrative embodiment, comprises coupling a retaining body to a mounting body mounted on an outer surface of the wall adjacent a side edge of the wall panel. Coupling the retaining body to the mounting body may comprise coupling a first connector on an inner surface of the retaining body to a second connector on the mounting body, and positioning a retainer on the retaining body against a retaining surface on the wall panel to fasten the wall panel to the wall. Kits and wall assemblies according to other illustrative embodiments are also disclosed.
Abstract:
A method of producing a floor panel (1), including providing a carrier (3) including a thermoplastic material, applying a primer comprising at least one salt, preferably a metal salt, on a first surface of the carrier (3), printing by means of digital printing a first print (10) on said first surface of the carrier (3) with an aqueous pigment ink composition, and applying a protective layer (4) on said first surface of the carrier (3) and applying the carrier (3) on a core (2) and pressing by applying heat and pressure the protective layer (4), the carrier (3) and the core (2) together to form a floor panel (1). Also, a method for forming a decorative substrate.
Abstract:
A fire-rated reveal piece and wall assemblies or other assemblies that incorporate the fire-rated reveal piece, in which the reveal piece can include an intumescent or other fire-resistant material strip. The reveal can be attached adjacent to a corner, flange or leg of a framing member, such as metal tracks, headers, header tracks, sill plates, bottom tracks, metal studs, wood studs or wall partitions, and placed between the framing member and a wall board member at a perimeter of a wall assembly to create a fire block arrangement. A fire spray material can be applied over a portion of the reveal piece.
Abstract:
A pre-finished insulated panel building system preferably includes a base member, a cover member and a decorative coating. A moisture barrier sheet is preferably attached to an exterior surface of a building. A drainage and ventilation mat is attached to the moisture barrier or directly to the exterior surface of the building. The base member is preferably a rectangular block, which is attached to an interior or exterior surface of the building. The cover member includes a base cavity formed in a bottom thereof. A perimeter of the base cavity is sized to receive an outer perimeter and height of the base member. Alternatively, the cover member is secured to the base member with a pair of snap rails. Each snap rail includes a base rail member and a cover rail member. The top and outer perimeter of the cover member is sprayed with the decorative coating.

Abstract:
The invention relates to a lighted rail for a false wall with a stretched canvas comprising a first wing for securing the rail onto a wall, a first channel so arranged as to enable the canvas to be hung and a second channel provided between the first channel and the first wing, and wherein lighting elements are mounted, characterized in that said rail comprises a cover partially closing the second channel, with said cover being so arranged as to extend under the lighting elements secured on a wall laterally delimiting the first and second channels with respect to each other.
Abstract:
A plurality of devices used alone or in combination for releasing moisture from a building are provided. The devices are especially suitable for use in new or existing masonry and frame buildings with low-slope roofs, on parapet walls and mansard roofs, and on masonry walls and foundation walls. The devices give buildings adequate wall and roof system ventilation and moisture vapor release portals so as to better prevent mold and other water related damage. The devices may be used individually or in combination wherein the devices are placed on or against a parapet wall, masonry wall or foundation wall of a building. Further, the devices may be used in connection with a joist or truss system of a building to prevent moisture damage to the joists or truss system and to prevent compromises and other structural integrity problems to a building which often occur with moisture.
Abstract:
The present invention is an improved method of making cornice assemblies and other trim members utilizing the process of pultrusion. The cornice assemblies and the other trim members made by the method of the present invention exhibit superior strength to weight ratios, low expansion and contraction due to changes in temperature and humidity, as well being less labor intensive to install.
