摘要: A system for fluid transfer is disclosed and includes a floatable buoy, an underwater hose, a plurality of underwater node units and circuitry. The underwater hose has a first end coupled to the floatable buoy and a second end. The plurality of underwater node units distributed along the length of the underwater hose and configured to generate positioning signals. The circuitry is configured to determine a relative distance between each of the plurality of undersea node units based on the generated positioning signals to generate a plurality of relative distances.

摘要: A Ship Board Ground Monitor System measures an antistatic bond between a ship and a loading-off-loading facility during operation and an earth ground while in the process of loading or unloading flammable materials. The system ensures that a maximum adjustable, preset resistance between the ship transport and safety ground is not exceeded. Should this resistance be exceeded, the control apparatus within the system will activate audible and visual annunciation and provide a contact output, which may be used to disable pumping systems.

摘要: A connection system includes a feature module that supplies various functionalities, a portable countertop stand having an upright section that selectively receives the feature module and an umbilical connecting the portable stand to an external appliance to deliver utilities to the portable countertop stand. A utility port selectively delivers at least one utility to the feature module when engaged with the upright section. A utility receiver removably engages the utility port by hand without the use of tools and selectively receives a predetermined set of utilities when the feature module engages the upright surface. A connection interface detects when the feature module is engaged with the upright section and the predetermined utility set required by the engaged feature module. After the feature module is engaged, the connection interface prompts the utility port to release the predetermined utility set to the feature module.

摘要: A method and system for transporting fluid is described. The method includes coupling a transit vessel to a terminal vessel associated with at least one terminal. The transit vessel and the terminal vessel are coupled at an open sea or lightering location, which may be selected based upon operational conditions. Then, cryogenic fluid is transferred between the transit vessel and the terminal vessel, while the transit vessel and terminal vessel are moving in substantially the same direction. Once the transfer is complete, the terminal vessel decouples from the transit vessel and moves a terminal to provide the cryogenic fluid to the terminal. The cryogenic fluid may include liquefied natural gas (LNG) and/or liquefied carbon dioxide (CO2).

摘要: A loading arrangement for loading fluids onto a ship at sea comprises a coupling manifold on board the ship. A pulling line, which is connected with a winch on board the ship and comprises a loading fork with two diverging parts which at a respective end are connected to a coupling head, may be guided on board and towards the winch, via a guide pulley which is mounted on board the ship to be movable in a controlled manner in the direction of pulling line towards and away from the winch. The coupling manifold is mounted to be slewable about a horizontal axis, so that it may be slewed towards and away from the loading fork. The coupling manifold has a guiding member in the shape of a curved screen, which in a vertical plane has a trapezoid shape and passes through a triangular area of the loading fork between the two parts. When the loading fork is brought into a position outside the coupling manifold by the aid of the winch, the coupling manifold may be slewed in a direction towards the loading fork so that the guiding member, i.e. curved screen, contacts the loading fork and fixes the latter in the fork plane. Cooperation between the screen and the fork is facilitated by the fact that the guide pulley is, as mentioned, displaceable in the direction of the pulling line, towards and away from the winch.

摘要: The invention relates to a method for connecting a conduit (5) to a subsea structure (1), which comprises laying the conduit on the sea floor, with a conduit end (8) in the area close to the subsea structure. The method is characterized in that the conduit end is gripped by a ROV (9) with a gripping manipulator (10), that ROV (9) with the gripped conduit end (8) is advanced to the subsea structure (1), that the conduit end is introduced like a piston in a suitable receiving member (2) in the subsea structure, and that a negative pressure is provided in the receiving member so that conduit end (8) is sucked into the receiving member (2). The invention also relates to a device for use in connecting a conduit end (8) to a subsea structure (1). Conduit end (8) is advanced from the side of subsea structure (1) into a receiving member (2) of the subsea structure and is secured there. Receiving member (2) and conduit end (8) are mutually adapted so that conduit end (8) can move like a piston in receiving member (2). The receiving member has a connecting sleeve which is accessible from outside for connection to a source of negative pressure.
