摘要: A relocateable wind resistant modular ISO container structure preferably includes a plurality of ISO containers, two modular end walls and a modular roof. An upper ISO container is secured to a lower ISO container with a plurality of twist lock connectors and a plurality of container bridge fittings to form a plurality of ISO blocks. The modular roof includes a plurality of arch panels and a plurality of arch connectors. The plurality of arch panels are attached to each other with fasteners to form a roof panel. The plurality of arch connectors are attached to opposing ends of the roof panel to form a modular roof. A gutter may be secured to opposing ends of the modular roof. The end wall is retained between the first and second ISO blocks. The end wall is preferably fabricated from a metal corrugated panel or a reinforced metal panel.

摘要: A method for making a covering is described. The covering includes a first layer made of a flexible material; a second and a third layers made of a preferably rigid material engaged on opposite sides to the first layer. The second and the third layers respectively have a plurality of V-shaped grooves defining respective adjacent rigid and corresponding structural portions. Each rigid structural portion can be oriented with respect to the adjacent rigid structural portion, by folding the first layer so as to model the covering according to three-dimensional configurations and/or a simple or double curvature. The method is preferably performed through a virtual designing of the shape desired to be obtained and a processing of the same for the obtainment of the grooves required to attain such shape.

摘要: A foldable building structure includes a wall assembly made from a semi-rigid continuous sheet material configured with creases that enable the sheet material to be bent or folded to form multiple integrally formed together walls. A roof assembly can be formed from a second semi-rigid continuous sheet material that is configured with creases that enable the sheet material to be bent or folded to form multiple integrally formed roof panels. A floor assembly can be made out a third semi-rigid continuous sheet of material that also can be folded to form foundation members and floor panels.

摘要: A modular advertising or display insert, module or replacement lid to a water cooler provides a display panel or image for viewing by a person getting water at or passing by the water cooler. The display panel may be a back-lit photograph or transparency, a flat or curved screen monitor or the like. The monitor may be remotely controllable via a modem or other remote communication means for remote changing of the pictorial image on the monitor. The display module is constructed to mount to the water cooler housing and to fit in place to maintain the design lines of the existing water cooler. The display module may be placed on a water cooler retroactively, after the water cooler has been placed at a targeted or desirable location, or may be incorporated onto a water cooler prior to placing the water cooler at the targeted or desirable location.

摘要: An acoustical panel system, including panels formed out of relatively thin sheet material, that can be utilized to construct walls, fences, and other structures. A frame structure has one or more openings to receive the acoustical panels. Each acoustical panel has at least one raised body portion, all or part of which is corrugated to disburse sound and provide structural integrity, and an edge portion surrounding the body portion. A pair of acoustical panels can be adjoined back-to-back to form a hollow block to provide both enhanced sound and heat insulating properties. A hollow bezel extends around the periphery of the body portion of the panel and is spaced from the body portion of the panel and has one or more openings into which sounds are received and trapped within the bezel.

摘要: An architectural panel system for assembling geodesic-like structures in which three or more corrugated panels of relatively thin material are joined along their sides to form a polyhedral angle. The corrugations may be formed in the panel surface or along side flanges provided for attaching adjoining panels together, or both. Corrugations in the side flanges serve to interlock adjoining panels together directly or through use of interlocking channel members. Surface corrugations in triangular and pentagonal panels for spherical domes are formed perpendicular to the edges of the panels and converge along load distribution grooves formed in the panel surfaces from the corners of the panels to their centers. Corrugations in the panel surface and along the side flanges are intercorrugated relative to one another for more strength and stiffness. The panels are preferably formed using polycarbonate plastic material.

摘要: A cable dome has lower and upper outer cables each connecting nodes of an edge ring which are spaced by two other nodes. The lower and upper cables connecting the same nodes are spaced from each other in elevation by a pair of outer struts each having an upper and a lower node. Each upper node in turn supports lower and upper inner cables, serving a function similar to that of a corresponding edge ring node.

摘要: A molded roof section for use with dwelling units includes a domed main body portion which is arranged with a leading edge, an opposite trailing edge, and two side edges. The leading edge is configured with strengthening ribs and a defined groove while the trailing edge also including strengthening ribs is configured with a tongue such that the leading edge of one roof section may be assembled to the trailing edge of the contiguous roof section by a tongue-in-groove assembly concept. The side edges of said roof section are arranged with downwardly opening channels which are spaced so as to correspond to the spacing between dwelling unit sidewalls. Each roof section is molded of a high-density polymer foam as a homogeneous, unitary member and each roof section may be easily and readily lifted in place and lowered onto the sidewalls such the sidewalls fit into the downwardly opening channels of each section. In order to complete the entire roof for the dwelling, additional molded roof sections are applied, each additional section being assembled to the dwelling in a similar manner. For added strength each roof section is covered with an epoxy coating.

摘要: A roof structure is composed of a plurality of prefabricated formed metal saddle elements which have four sides and which are bent along a diagonal between nonadjacent corners to define two triangular portions having corners opposite the bend line and lying in planes inclined to each other. The roof also includes half saddles similar to one triangular portion of a full saddle. The saddles and half saddles are connected to define plural pyramids having four sides and quadrilateral bases. A basal corner of a pyramid is connected to the basal corners of no more than three other pyramids. Depending upon the nature and location of supports for the roof, struts may be connected between some but not all of the pyramids adjacent their apices; in some instances, no struts are required.

摘要: A foldable construction element for forming roof constructions or buildings is described. The foldable element may consist of a polygonal sheet of paper, cardboard, plastic, or other suitable material which is provided with fold-lines in selected areas thereof. The sheet of material is selectively folded along the fold-lines to form a roof construction or building structure of a desired shape. The folded structure may be reinforced by a coating or layer of any suitable material to provide added structural strength to the final construction. Many shapes of the fold-lines, relative, sizes, and orientations can be chosen to form buildings or roof constructions of selected shapes. Methods are described for the controlled folding of the construction elements for either on or off site assembly of the building or roof construction. Foundation systems are also described for use with the folded construction elements.
