Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to utility partition device and systems which may be configured to bifurcate the ceiling cavity from the utilities, by preventing the insulation material present in the ceiling cavity from rolling onto the utilities. The utility partition device may be vacuum-formed into a predefined structure. Additionally, the predefined structure may include a utility corridor to accommodate the utilities, thereby bifurcating the ceiling cavity from the utilities.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a curved screen support comprising a plurality of vertical bars arranged vertically from the ground, and a plurality of horizontal bars attached to the vertical bars at one end in the horizontal direction with respect to the ground, wherein horizontal bars are characterized in that the line connecting the other ends of the horizontal bars arranged on the same vertical axis has a curved shape of a set curvature, and the line connecting the other ends of the horizontal bars arranged on the same horizontal axis has a curved shape of set curvature. Therefore, according to the present invention, a curved screen having a curvature along the horizontal axis as well as the vertical axis can be stably held, and by controlling the curvature and angle of the curved screen, enhanced life-like effects can be provided to an audience.
Abstract:
Ball pivot assemblies for mounting panels to a cable regardless of panel geometry or orientation include a ball pivot. The ball pivot includes geometry configured to enable a panel to pivot about the ball pivot in a plurality of orientations in a plurality of planes with respect to the cable. One or more implementations of the present invention can include a ball socket configured to receive the ball pivot, and provide a secure interface between the ball pivot assembly and the panel. Also, systems of at least one implementation of the present invention include a plurality of panels mounted to one or more cables using one or more ball pivot assemblies. In addition, one or more implementations of the present invention include methods of mounting panels using one or more ball pivot assemblies.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for creating and installing a curved ceiling support system and associated panels. The invention includes a ceiling support system, a ceiling panel, and a clip or fastener that holds the ceiling panel to the ceiling support system. The ceiling panel may include an upstand taking one of two basic shapes: a C-shaped upstand or a Z-shaped upstand. The C-shaped upstand has an inwardly directed flange while the Z-shaped upstand has an outwardly directed flange. Further, the edges perpendicular to the upstand may be extruded or shaped in three dimensions. Panel locks couple the ceiling panel to a curved support member suspended from the ceiling. Once inserted, the ceiling panel conforms to the curve of the support member. An installation tool aids in fitting the ceiling panel to a support beam.
Abstract:
The invention is directed to a transition element for use between an upper ceiling level and a lower ceiling level to form a two-level or multi-level ceiling. The transition element has a configured surface, particularly a curved surface. The transition element is mounted with the top of the curved surface located adjacent the plane of the upper ceiling level and the bottom of the curved surface being located in the plane of the lower ceiling level so that the curved surface forms a transition surface between the two ceiling levels. The transition element is held in position by the ceiling runners used to hold the ceiling boards in position.
Abstract:
An architectural cover panel system of individually adaptive panels for covering structural support members of an underlying structure such as girders. An individual adaptive panel includes a sheet of flexible material having a generally convex cross-section and is provided with corrugations oriented perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the panel. In one preferred embodiment the convex panel is provided with edge portions attached to the lateral sides of the panel. The edge portions are similarly provided with corrugations oriented parallel to and intersecting or merging into the corrugations of the convex panel portion. In other embodiments of the invention, panels having radial corrugations are used allowing the panels to respond to dimensional changes due to temperature effects and to resist wind forces without deforming the shape of the overall structure, and panels with diagonal corrugations provide bidirectional flexibility.
Abstract:
An acoustic drop ceiling product, a dynamic acoustic drop ceiling system and related methods that include multiple differently shaped drop ceiling products that can be quickly and easily installed into a backer panel and ten onto construction drop ceiling hangers, to provide an aesthetically pleasing image, such as an undulating image, along with a reduction in unwanted noise or room acoustics.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a curved ceiling structure, the ceiling structure characterized by having a curved shell shape over the seats of a theater while exposing the screen. Therefore, according to the present invention, structural continuity with the screen curved in horizontal and vertical axes can be ensured, and by ensuring design integrity with the screen curved in horizontal and vertical axes, a sense of immersion can be imparted to an audience and an enhanced life-like sensation can be delivered thereto.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a screen-holding structure, and more specifically to a screen-holding structure to withstand the weight of the screen by means of a screen holding apparatus for the entire region or a part of the screen to prevent the phenomenon in which a screen held by a frame sags downward due to the weight of the screen. According to the present invention, the curved surface of the screen can be smoothly maintained by minimizing the downward sagging phenomena of the curved screen, thereby allowing content image to be projected onto the screen without distortion, and consequently allowing a viewing environment having a high sense of immersion and enhanced stereoscopic effect to be provided to an audience.
