    摘要: The present invention relates to a process for the production of polyurethanes where (a) polyisocyanate, (b) polymeric compounds having groups reactive toward isocyanates, (c) catalysts, (d) sulfur-carbon compounds selected from the group consisting of sulfinic acid derivatives of the general formula (I) and/or sulfonic acid derivatives according to the general formula (II) where R1 and R2 can be identical or different and are respectively any desired substituted or unsubstituted hydrocarbon moiety, with the proviso that the carbon atom bonded to the sulfur atom is an aliphatic carbon atom, and optionally (e) blowing agent, (f) chain extender and/or crosslinking agent, and (g) auxiliaries and/or additives are mixed to give a reaction mixture, and the reaction mixture is allowed to complete a reaction to give the polyurethane. The present invention further relates to polyurethanes produced by this process and to the use of these polyurethanes in the interior of means of transport.

    摘要: Embodiments include polymer polyol dispersions which include a polyol liquid phase and solid particle phase. Embodiments include methods of making the polymer polyol dispersions. The polymer polyol dispersions are essentially free of tin, have a solid content of between about 20 and 50 wt % based on the total weight of the polymer polyol dispersion, and have a viscosity at 20 C. of less than 9000 mPas. The solid particle phase has more than 90% by weight of particles in the solid particle phase having a particle diameter of less than 5 μm.

    摘要: A process for the production of a lignin based polyurethane products is provided. The process comprises mixing at least one dried lignin and at least one isocyanate to form a lignin-isocyanate mixture, and submitting the lignin-isocyanate mixture to a polymerization reaction. The polymerization reaction may include heating the lignin-isocyanate mixture, adding at least one catalyst to the lignin-isocyanate mixture, or mixing the lignin-isocyanate mixture with a resin comprising at least one polyol, in the presence of at least one catalyst. The lignin based polyurethane products obtained by the process may be rigid foams, flexible foams, rigid boards, rigid blocks, coatings, packagings, adhesives, binders, sealants, elastomers, Thermoplastic Polyurethanes or Reaction Injection Moldings. There is also provided a mixture comprising at least one dried lignin and at least one isocyanate for use in the production of a lignin based polyurethane products.

Polymers have optimal aliphatic network structures due to minimization of dangling chains by using monomers that are symmetrical and that have matching amine and hydroxyl groups providing polymers and polymer foams with clarity, tight (narrow temperature range) single transitions, and high shape recovery and recovery force that are especially useful for implanting in the human body.

    摘要: A hydrophobic polymer made by incorporating alkyl chains pendant to the main backbone of the polymer. The present invention allows creating polymers with alkyl chains pendant to the polymer chain. Synthetic and naturally derived starting materials such as tallow diamine or ethoxylated tallow amine typically contain a mixture of chain lengths with varying degrees of branching and unsaturation. The unsaturated positions in the final polymer can be made to cross-link in the presence of a catalyst to increase the hardness and reduce the effect of heat and solvent borne exposures. The present invention can be a replacement to current monomers or additive to common polymers to replace or modify the current polymers to alter the properties of a polymer adding the known benefits of fatty compounds to common polymers such as hydrophobicity, or in altering the HLB (hydrophilic lipophilic balance) of polymeric surfactants. While the preferred embodiment of the present invention is directed primarily to urea and urethane polymers, the invention is also useful in the incorporation of pendant alkyl structures in other types of polymers that use an amine or alcohol groups to form the linkage. Other polymer types which can utilize this invention include, but are not limited to the following: polyamide, polyester, polycarbonate, polyether, polysiloxane, and epoxy.
