Abstract:
The invention relates to a bearing arrangement (1) for a tension roller (2) designed as a hollow cylinder at least in segments, having at least one bearing (3) supporting the tension roller (2), wherein a damping layer (5) made of elastomer or rubber material is disposed between a ring (4) of the bearing (3) and the tension roller (2), directly or indirectly, and wherein at least one axial end of the tension roller (2) is closed by a cover (6). In order to achieve a low-noise and self-centering seal for the axial end of the tension roller, according to the invention, the cover (6) is disposed in a mounting segment (8) and is held by the same, said segment being molded from the material of the damping layer in an axial end region of the damping layer (5).
Abstract:
A swivel mounting is made as a double-row roller bearing and has an outer ring with a first outer track and a second outer track, a first inner ring with a first inner track, and a second inner ring with a second inner track which is located axially next to the first inner ring. Two sets of rollers roll between the outer tracks of the outer ring and the inner tracks of the inner rings. The swivel mounting is constructed such that the outer ring with the first inner ring and the second inner ring forms one axial slide bearing at a time.
Abstract:
A device for producing an axial displacement of two opposing relatively rotatable thrust members having a plurality of conical rolling elements installed between the thrust members which roll on angled ramps hus change the distance between the thrust members, at least one of the thrust washers having a conical face; and a loose outside flange designed as a closed, flexible ring circumscribing the rollers which absorbs the radial forces proceeding from the loaded conical rollers and exerts a binding effect on the conical rollers.
Abstract:
A cage for a ball bearing, especially for an inclined ball bearing, is comprised of two side rings connected together by webs, with one of the side rings being outside of the pitch circle and the other side ring being inside of the pitch circle. Circumferentially resilient axially extending projections are provided extending from one of the side rings toward the other, radially inwardly or outwardly of the pitch circle, and recesses are formed by the webs and projections in the regions of minimum spacing between the balls.
Abstract:
A method for making hardened essentially disk-shaped machine parts particularly rotor disks for axial roller bearings consisting of the steps of forming the disk to the desired shape in the soft state, densifying at least one annular ring-shaped section of the disk by rolling or pressing and thereafter hardening the entire disk.
Abstract:
In a universal joint assembly consisting of a cross piece having at least one pin supported in a bearing bushing, the bearing bushing having a bottom section and an adjacent sleeve section; at least one fork arm having a recess extending in the direction of the pin machined to hold the sleeve section; a cover plate attached removably to the fork arm which holds the sleeve section transversely in place in the recess; a support acting on the bottom section in the longitudinal direction from the outside toward the inside, in the form of a strap integral with the cover plate, and attached to an outer end surface of the fork arm by screw fasteners or the like.
Abstract:
A roller, especially a tension roller for a belt drive has a hollow hub supporting a rolling bearing, with a pulley or rotating body supported on the outer ring of the bearing. The hollow hub has at least one closed end, with a mounting hole therethrough to enable mounting to a machine frame. The closed end or bottom of the hub is setback from the adjoining facing end of the hub, by an axially projecting annular rim. The hub may be formed of one part, or of two parts, each having a setback closed bottom.
Abstract:
Front seal for bearing cups, in particular, for universal joints, having a seal ring arranged on the bearing cup between the bearing cup and a shoulder of the machine component it supports, characterized in that the seal ring (13, 31) is of T-shaped cross section comprising a body portion and a part of axially projecting sealing flanges having bore faces (24, 25, 34, 37) which are arranged adjacent to corresponding outside surfaces (26, 27, 35) of the machine component (2) and the bearing cup (6).
Abstract:
A sealed bearing cup, in particular, for universal joints which has a support body connected to the bearing cup and a seal ring fastened to this body having at least one axially elastically deformable sealing lip, characterized in that the support body (10) with the seal ring (13) is arranged axially slidable in the bore of the bearing cup (2) and is provided with a radially flange (17) which is located opposite the front face (16) of the bearing cup (2).
Abstract:
A method for making complementary pairs of race rings for rolling bearing assemblies from a unitary metallic base component formed with the raceways for the rings consisting of the steps of:a. forming at least one annular separation seam in the metallic base component defining a bridge which can be severed to form the paired bearing race rings;b. hardening the metallic base component;c. machining the raceways of the rings simultaneously or successively;d. plastic coating the base component to form housing sections adjacent the bearing and side surfaces of the race rings exposing the raceways and separation seam; ande. separating the base component at the bridge to form the finished race rings.A bearing assembly comprising inner and outer ring members formed of a single base component separable at a juncture to define a complementary pair of inner and outer race rings, a plastic housing section for each race ring, at least one of said housing sections including a radially directed flange member retaining the race ring and the rolling elements in an assembled condition.
